Guanajuato in Glencoe delivers high-quality Mexican food with standout flavors and great presentation. The tacos are excellent. The carne asada is especially flavorful, with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked fillings. Portions are generous, and the tortillas are warm and soft. The Mexican tortilla soup is a highlight. The broth is rich and well-balanced with a touch of heat, topped with crispy tortilla strips, avocado, and melted cheese. It’s comforting and full of flavor without being heavy. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Guanajuato is a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner with consistently good food and a solid menu.

One of the best dining experience Ive had in a long time. The food was, no kidding, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long long time. And me of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. And everyone was so polite, friendly, and an embodiment of hospitality. You NEED to come and visit grab some amazing food and drinks. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious food and great service. All around pleasant and welcoming staff. Greeted warmly. Sat on nice patio overlooking street. Pretty flowers. Unbelievably great chicken molcajete. Blend of flavors was unusual. Can’t wait to get again. Crab enchiladas were wonderful. These are almost impossible to find. Generous portion with lots of crab meat. Roasted pineapple margarita was one of the best drinks ever. Tasty salsa and chips. Big balls of fried ice cream for dessert. Must try!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a lunch at this restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of mouthwatering Mexican dishes. If you visit, I highly recommend indulging in their beef and shrimp fajitas - they were absolutely delicious. Don't forget to save room for dessert because they are both delicious and generously portioned. To complement my meal, I ordered a mango margarita, and it was simply divine. The refreshing and tangy taste perfectly complemented the flavors of my meal, elevating my dining experience to new heights. The modern decor combined with traditional Mexican elements creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Recommend this place!

“Guanajuato was outstanding.”

Guanajuato was outstanding! Great service complemented with delicious Mexican fare. Really good margaritas and guacamole were a great start. The highlight though is the enchiladas, amazing. The combo platter is a great option to try different foods, as all were excellent. Do not skip dessert as the tres leches strawberry cake and churros with ice cream are fantastic finishes.

Incredibly Delicious! Enchiladas Margarita Two green sauce enchiladas filled with chicken. Garnish with baby arugula, avocado, red onion, cotija cheese and sour cream. And then Tres Leches for dessert, yummy!!

We hosted a 50th birthday party here and it was a wonderful experience! The owner created the perfect menu, the staff was friendly and accommodating before, during and after the event. They even put up our decorations and served the cake we brought. They took care of every detail and made it easy for us to enjoy the evening. And of course, the food and drinks were delicious as they always are. I would highly recommend them for private parties!

Ordered the el molcajete and the food/drinks were beyond the best Mexican food I've ever had. Zaul was our server and he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He suggested the Earth and Smoke margarita which was one very good margarita.
