Decently generous portions of meat. My only complaint is I asked for two oaxaqueños and i got two regular chicken, but whatever, it was still good. Maybe confirm your order with the employee twice. The verde salsa was my favorite!

You cannot go wrong. Atole is phenomenal especially on cold days. Red chicken, green chicken, red pork, green pork, beans and cheese, pepper and cheese, sweet, such as strawberry, guayaba, coconut, and pineapple tamales! The lady who owns the place is wonderful and kind! Get one and eat on your way to the Mexican Art museum.

We ordered tamales for Christmas Eve and they were delicious! They were sweet enough to take our order one day beforehand. The food was ready for pick up on Christmas Eve.

VERY flavorful and the prices are great! However the red tamales weren’t spicy at all, and there wasn’t enough meat in them (especially the pork tamales). Still good though! And the lady was nice and patient with me… I’ll come back ^_^

Field trip to Pilsen! On the way back from exploring the museum. I had already stopped at the local bakery and brought a Mexican roll (bolillo) and a soda. Picked up some tamales, walked across the street and had an impromptu picnic at Harrison Park. Price per tamale was reasonable, size of tamales was large and the meat fillings were generous. Lady was very nice! Highly recommend if you need a good tamale fix.

Fiesta Tamaleria El Barrio is a beloved spot for authentic Mexican tamales and traditional dishes. The restaurant is known for its fresh ingredients, flavorful fillings, and handmade tamales that capture the taste of home-cooked Mexican cuisine. Many customers appreciate the friendly service and the warm, welcoming atmosphere, which makes it feel like a community gathering spot. The menu also offers other Mexican favorites, making it easy to enjoy a full, satisfying meal. At busy times, there can be a short wait, but the quality and authenticity of the food make it well worth it. Overall, Fiesta Tamaleria El Barrio is a great choice for anyone craving genuine, delicious Mexican tamales and comfort food.
