“One of the best Al Pastor tacos I've ever had. Did not come with roasted pineapples on it (which I enjoy on my al pastor tacos) but the immense amount of flavor in the meat made up for it. I also ordered a quesadilla and the cheese in it tasted great and was melted to perfection. Beans were also a surprising highlight of my meal as well. All of this for a very affordable price.”

Everything was good except the steak was chewy and difficult to cut. The server was a little absent minded and brought water only by request. Not the best service I've received in the past. However, my plate was good and maybe it was a one off. Either way, I will likely return.”
“The interior may be typically Mexican for restaurants, but I have to say, their salsa and margaritas were a cut above many places. Servings were very generous! My quesadilla azteca with shrimp was enormous and really good. Live music on a Sunday afternoon was quite nice.”

“This is one of my all time favorite spots in my area . Matter of fact of any area being so close only makes it that much better. Very reasonably priced food is great drinks are great owners are frequently there maintaining quality control and greeting guests . . I would recommend the tampequina steak meal , if memory serves me number 18 on menu .”

“We had the mojarra at El Azteca, and it was absolutely amazing! My husband tried the carne en su jugo, and we agreed—it’s the best we’ve had in years! No more driving all the way to the South Side. The place is charming, the staff is incredibly friendly, and it truly feels like home. We make it a point to visit at least once a month!”
