Algerias is such a vibrant seafood spot! We started with a refreshing complimentary ceviche before diving into two massive platters - the Charola Mixta with shrimp, crab, and mussels, and a shrimp & octopus combo. The shrimps leaned on the smaller side, but the sauce was so rich and flavorful, and the crab was surprisingly great too. The garlicky shrimp and octopus platter was an instant standout with bold and deeply satisfying flavors. Overall, we loved the warm hospitality and generous portions of the place with comforting flavors.

Love this place! I’ve been coming several times a year for about 10 years. The sauce kinda changed over the years as far as flavor but when asked to make it extra spicy it reminds me of back in the day. Delicious!

BYOB. One of the best micheladas I've had in a while. The free crab tostada that is served when you sit down is a nice touch. I got the small ceviche and it was a lot of food. The aguachile was perfect.

This might be my favorite restaurant. Bring a lot of friends and order a platter. You wont be disappointed. The seafood is fresh and the sauce and flavors are delicious. Perfect place for a birthday party. Service was great too.

Authentic Mexican seafood spot with great flavors in a homey/casual restaurant. I loved everything we ordered - mussles with an amazing and savory sauce, rice, and shrimp with the Nayarit sauce. BYOB - liquor store is just a block a way.

This is a small place with lotsa flavor!! The waitress we had was very attentive. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I gave it a 4 star for atmosphere because there were many people going in to use the restroom. My daughter ordered quesadilla with beef, fries and guacamole. I ordered Filete con Mariscos, this dish has mushrooms with cheese fish and other seafood. MMM Good!! First time eating here while in Chicago and I would definitely recommend this place for Mexican food.
