“The cocktails were crisp and bright, pairing perfectly with the sunshine flooding the open roof patio”
Food seamed like high quality but was not we order tacos dorados very greasy, burger with fries my kid loved.
I live in Zion, IL, and every time I come to Chicago, Diego’s Tacos is on my must-eat list.
I was excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.

“Nelly was awesome.”
Nelly was awesome! Restaurant week was a great deal and the food was tasty. The Cali Burrito was really good and true to the west coast taste profile. The michelada was good also!

“One of the best late night spots I've eaten in.”
One of the best late night spots I've eaten in. Even though we were at the end of the "dinner" period, the food was of great quality, the quesadilla was well made, creamy, the tostadas were crispy and the chicken tinga spicefulness was great

“Unassuming and thankful for it, Diego is just off the beaten path, with top-notch Chef driven Mexican food.”
Unassuming and thankful for it, Diego is just off the beaten path, with top-notch Chef driven Mexican food. All the food is clean with complex flavors and skillfully prepared. The Tuna Tostada is amazing and totally craveable. We sat at the bar during happy hour, which they have great food and drink specials. Bartenders are friendly and suggested some great mescal to go with our food.

“We got into Sunday special by accident but what a treat it was.”
We got into Sunday special by accident but what a treat it was! Beef marinated for 24h and then grilled on coals, was so tender and with perfect char taste, it was truly a special treat. Their margaritas are perfect balance and you can opt out for mezcal if that’s what you like. They have also had a dj playing and you could dance. Definitely will be back to try more items on the menu! Outdoor patio is tucked on the side on the calmer street and there is not too much noise from Ogden.

“This place was delicious.”
This place was delicious! I stumbled in for lunch last minute and was not disappointed. The cocktails were crisp and bright, pairing perfectly with the sunshine flooding the open roof patio. I particularly enjoyed the Flor Morada. I'm very particular with ceviche and I LOVED their Sueños Ceviche with salsa macha. Wow. 30/10. One of the best ceviches I've ever eaten. I also took a bite of my friend's burrito and was blown away... like a burrito/shawarma fusion. 10/10. Staff were super friendly and attentive, and they had a live band playing throughout lunch. I'll definitely be back! Very excited to try some more dishes.

“Diego is a dope neighborhood restaurant right on Ogden - and has tons to offer.”
Diego is a dope neighborhood restaurant right on Ogden - and has tons to offer. In addition to a fun and bright atmosphere with lots of art work (including several pieces by Chicago’s very own Raspy Rivera), Diego is an overall vibe. We enjoyed a Sunday brunch of chilaquiles (verde with steak), breakfast burrito, virgin piña coladas, and a carajillo). Everyone is super friendly, welcoming and happy to share info about the menu and upcoming happenings. Thoroughly devoured everything - with a fair price to boot! Highly recommend!

“I’m suchhhh a fan of this place.”
I’m suchhhh a fan of this place. I’ve had the Caesar tostada, the norteña tacos, guac, and my husband loved their breakfast burrito. My friend really liked the enchiladas verde. Their mocktails and cocktails are deliciousss. Carolina was our waitress for our first time inside and she was so friendly and helpful. We’ll be back for the summer parties!

“Absolutely fantastic experience.”
Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and great music that set the perfect mood. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming(owner even came by to say hello and check that we were satisfied). And the food? Incredible. Every dish was bursting with flavor, fresh ingredients, and authentic Mexican taste. Highly recommend the gobernador taco and the asada fries! Great service, and a great overall dining experience!

“What a cool little gem in the neighborhood.”
What a cool little gem in the neighborhood. My girlfriend and I have driven past Diego’s so many times. We recently stopped in after she discovered the price of the bottomless mimosas when she was looking for a place to host her fair-well brunch with her old co workers. We were a large party and the staff was as accommodating as they could be. We ordered an array of food from the brunch menu and everything was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had a great time. We also received complimentary chips and guac for the wait time which we greatly appreciated. I definitely will keep recommending this busy to everyone.
