“After being away from the country for some time I was craving good Mexican food.”
After being away from the country for some time I was craving good Mexican food. Based on reviews I thought I'd check them out. Reviews were spot on. I had the pozole... so good! Normally made with pork this one was made with chicken. Still good! I'll return for the chicken mole enchiladas.

“Delicious food and fast service for sure.”
Delicious food and fast service for sure! They earned a lot of bonus points for playing Twenty-One Pilots music all day since their concert is down the road at the United Center! ❤️💛

“I was craving some huevos rancheros and came here.”
I was craving some huevos rancheros and came here. Right off the bat, when you walk in and the service is already phenomenal. Somebody's there to serve you and is ready to answer all your questions. Second, you sit down, and you get chips and salsa right away. The server will come by and ask what you need or just generally check up on you several times during your sitting. If you need a specific accommodation, they will try their best. From my personal preference, the food could've been a little bit more saltier, but they did have table salt, which was easily fixable for me. The food is very well priced as well. Fun fact, they also have student meals for those attending nearby, I, unfortunately, didn't qualify, but it's still nice to see.

Very cozy place, even though it was boring, the hospitality of the staff was good. I had some delicious chilaquiles for breakfast with my 100% natural orange juice, delicious. and the best thing is just a few steps from the Mexican consulate. Thank you very much for assisting me.

“Dear Mexico paisanos really recommended if you are near for your Mexico consulate papers.”
Dear Mexico paisanos really recommended if you are near for your Mexico consulate papers. I come from Mexico and we'll and since I saw there was a lot of locals having lunch there I knew this was place and yes they exceed my expectations. The cecina tacos amazing with fresh tortillas and the rest sauce they had in the table was really good. Then the pozole rojo made from chicken was delicious. The grilled chicken breast was juicy and we'll seasoned, finally were asked for some strawberry Pankakes and that was the hell of crown. I will come back there if I'm near the neighborhood.

“My friend and I ordered a caldo de res, huevos Norternos, and mimosas; they were very delicious.”
My friend and I ordered a caldo de res, huevos Norternos, and mimosas; they were very delicious! Our server, Fernando, was attentive, friendly and the food was amazing. He even gave us a mimosa on the house (after ordering multiple) and a tour of the outdoor patio! I highly recommend Ricano's if you're in the Medical District!

“This place is definitely, in my opinion, a hidden gem.”
This place is definitely, in my opinion, a hidden gem! The food is delicious! The service is great! Parking on the street (metered parking on Ashland… and plenty of it!) - I had the taco dinner, Al pastor; double corn tortillas and a side of rice and beans! Margaritas are great too…. Sweet but not toooooo sweet. The place is small, maybe about 9 tables inside. They do takeout for sure. When we were there, there were probably about 10 takeout orders. They do have a back patio that’s great to enjoy in the summer!

“Service was quick .”
Service was quick ! Caldo de pollo was Tasty but a little plain, Love that they give 1 basket of chips and salsa de tomate not spicy 🌶️ (complementary) -kids friendly ,but not many options for kids (size wise)… I had to ask for extra plate so my kids can share the soup 🥣 (only had adult portion in caldo or soup 🍜 ) -waitress friendly and respectful - No parking 🅿️ lot other than street 🪙meter -For the PRICE charge I wish the caldo was with tortillas hechas a mano (hand freshly made tortillas not milagro packed and microwave or comal heated tortillas . 👎😕 -Extra space to eat in the patio 👍🏽
