Casa Cafe — reliable mexican in Pilsen. Nothing about this place is trying to impress you, and that's the point. Honest, uncompromised flavors throughout. Easy on the wallet. Nancy Padilla: "The meat was perfectly cooked; very tender"

“It was like dying and going to cuisinary heaven but getting there on the pink line”
The food is ok the waitress are dirty they pick at the food the chef is making in the stove they are too comfortable licking their fingers yuck the water they have they make it out of tap water.
The food is not flavorful, it is very pricey but they give you a looot of food.
Tacos was horrible, definitely not worth a dime. Chicken was cut up whole chicken parts.

“I got off the l train to the smell of delicious fresh tortillas and I was sold.”
I got off the l train to the smell of delicious fresh tortillas and I was sold! It was like dying and going to cuisinary heaven but getting there on the pink line. The folks that run the restaurant couldn't be nicer. Food was very fresh and flavorful. We were there to see a hardcore show that is American hardcore music and decided to drink a bunch of horchata and eat pollo con mole, tacos, sopes while we were there. The overall experience made me dislike our acting President and his immigration enforcement tactics all the more, which is really saying something. Long story short, very good food. Super nice folks. Chicago a better place for the Casa Cafe being here. I also got to see my son play amazing hardcore drums with his band (Eyebleech).

“Hands down my favorite restaurant.”
Hands down my favorite restaurant. The service is good, the waitresses recognize me as I frequent this place. I recently decided to try their huaraches. I got a huarache de carne asare with a side of rice and beans. I have to say that I was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked; very tender. I received a couple of grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño with my food which was a wonderful surprise. They were so good. The restaurant is chill and usually full of people; they open the back of the restaurant up too. A few of recommendations from their menu: - pozole - chilaquiles rojos or verdes both are 🔥 (red is spicier but so good, I order extra sour cream when ordering those) - torta (of anything tbh) - carne a la mexicana (so many flavors and the meat is sooo good) - huevos con chorizo Honestly anything you order in sure will be so good because everything I have tried has had such a great taste.

“I’ve been here a few times now and every time the food is great.”
I’ve been here a few times now and every time the food is great. I’ve had the chilaquiles en salsa verde with lomo and eggs. It’s great! I’ve also had the quesadilla with steak dinner. The handmade tortillas are a great addition to any meal. I would recommend to anyone looking for good traditional mexican food.

“just want to start off with love the atmosphere, love the aesthetic, food was great.”
just want to start off with love the atmosphere, love the aesthetic, food was great. i just have one small quam. immediately after walking in your eyes are drawn to a warning sign that says “WARNING: careful with chicken taco could have small bone”, i thought okay, interesting i’m just not going to get that. after perusing their lengthy menu, i decided upon the steak taco, which i shared my broke friend. the waitress was lovely. after two bites into my second taco, i noticed something hard in my mouth. i thought to myself “no! it couldn’t be” oh yes it was. i peeled the piercing object from my jaws and throw it onto the plate in disgust. my friends watched in horror as i inspected the mysterious object, and much to our surprise it was not in fact a small bone but a hard tortilla. thank god the sign was accurate! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

“The best near by.”
The best near by! Amazing service and the food ... OMG 😋! Just stop in and get you a plate. Chile Relleno dinner, Burrito dinner, gorditas, tortas, & tacos! The homemade tortillas seal the deal! Amazing! Don't get me started on the Horchata! 😋 The atmosphere is upbeat and the ladies check on you during your dine-in! Definitely for families. If your in the city you should swing by and give Casa Cafe a shot! Don't say I didn't hook ya up!
