Carnitas Don Alfredo is well known for there Carnitas and they do not disappoint! Their main location is in Melrose Park and would be worth the drive so its nice they branched out closer to Bensenville! They have alot of authentic Mexican dishes with some just available weekends Only like Pozole and Menudo. I go for the Carnitas mainly and get it by the Lbs(11.99/ Lbs) with hand made tortillas made right on the spot! In orders of 5 for 1.99. They give you side on cilantro and onions with limes to go with it. They also have very good Hibiscus water and Horchata. Place is not too big so seating is limited but people are in and out often, and they know how to get the line moving even if it seems abit long. Specially on the weekends is there busiest but staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of my favorites Carnitas spots in the area.

Carnitas are delicious. I am a big Carnitas guy and these are better than most in the area.The people there are all friendly and attentive. I will definitely go back and try more of their menu

**Update** I walked in and the lady at the counter doesn't speak English so instead of telling someone else to take my order (a pound of carnitas) that's what I told her, she just answered the phone and proceeded to take a phone order.. Got ignored for about 5 minutes and I left. Food may be good there but if you don't speak Spanish don't bother you'll probably get ignored. Just opened up the other day and everything was on point! Welcome to the neighborhood!

On multiple occasions, I have clearly stated that I do not want peppers added to my food because my children do not like spicy food. Despite this, I have repeatedly been charged for peppers even when they were not wanted. In the past, when my friend asked about the charge, staff mentioned that peppers are not charged if the food is eaten in-house—yet I was still charged. Most recently, I was charged for peppers even though none were provided with my order. I only discovered this after returning home and reviewing my receipt. This has happened several times, and it is frustrating to be charged for items I explicitly declined.

Ordered 3 days ahead of time and paid in full at that time. I was given a pick up time and arrived at that time only to be told they were out of carnitas and I would have to wait an hour for them to bring them from another location! There’s at least 10 other people waiting for our large orders! I’m still sitting here so I can’t rate the food yet. Hope it’s worth the wait!!
