This was the best meal I’ve had in a while! Such amazing flavors on every dish and everything was very fresh. The tteokbokki had a sweet and savory balance and the gimchijjigae was the perfect amount of spice. Very cool Kpop atmosphere, quick and helpful service, and good drink options as well. Can’t wait to go back.

To Korean Kitchen is a fantastic laid-back Korean spot with a deep menu of well-done dishes. I went with a group and everybody was pleased with what they ordered. There was a good assortment of banchan, with the kimchi and pickled radish both strong. Both scallion and kimchi pancakes were good, and the tteokbokki was cheesy and slightly sweet, which was a nice alternative to the spicy standard you find many places. The wings had great flavor. The breading wasn’t quite perfectly crunchy but overall strong. The japchae was very good, and I heard the bulgogi, bibimbap and ramen were good. The pork belly bowl was excellent with a really thin and well cooked cut and awesome flavor. The kimchi fried rice was stellar, and one of my favorite Korean dishes I’ve had in Chicago. The kimchi was perfect flavor and not too overpowering, and the bacon/pork belly and seaweed mixed perfectly for fried rice. The highlight was the cook on the egg, which was set around the rice at a perfect omelet consistency. The result was the peak of comfort food. Everything at To made for a great Korean spot: K-pop decor, excellent service, laid back vibe, the sizzling pots of food, the metal banchan tins, and the mini beer glasses for Cass. Really happy to have a go-to Korean spot in Lakeview East.

To Korean Cuisine is easily one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Chicago! We got the Dakdoritang, Jajangmyeon, and Jogbal. The Jogbal was our favorite… the meat was soooo tender and the side items and dips completed the braised pig so well. It was so fun creating our lettuce wraps, but the pig was also amazing alone or with rice. The Dakdoritang was a close second for our favorite dish! The chicken stew tasted so homey and comforting, and you can really taste the bone marrow in the broth. This may be my new go-to on a cold day actually. We also tried the To Green cocktail which was melon flavored and made with Melona ice cream. It was the perfect drink and sweet treat all in one! The interior was so colorful and fun as well — inspired by the bright colors in Squid Games!
