Shinya Ramen House - Midnight Diner — clean, consistent japanese in Bridgeport. Modern space that photographs well but eats even better. If you drink, start at the bar. Fast service, open late. Yeimi Medrano: "Mochis were delicious and fresh the best flavor is strawberry, highly recommended"

“My only gripe was the wooden benches that didn’t any have cushions and the chili oil wasn’t spicy, only fragrant”
The food was amazing. Some of the waiters are amazing but there’s one that really ruined our night.
Just looked online and came to this Resturant because of the rating.
If I have to scan a QR code to see the menu & place my order and then “checkout”on my own phone (you have to checkout on the app and then a server comes with an iPad with tip options), why did my food items get added to another table’s check just because I know them.

The food was amazing, the wine was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. It wasn't busy and the vibe was perfect for our date night. Highly recommend bringing your girl here if you're looking for a intimate dinner date experience 👍🏽 (we got 3 rolls and a glass of wine each and I spent $100+ so it's not cheap)

“I was a little scared to try a tik tok/instagram hyped place but it wasn’t a let down.”
I was a little scared to try a tik tok/instagram hyped place but it wasn’t a let down. The food was amazing! You can’t go wrong with the appetizers/starters. The ramen was good but the sides just really shined for us. The pork belly was small compared to other places but it was made up for its size through flavor. Nice and fatty with a a good meat ratio. I highly recommend getting reservations because this place gets packed. Line was out the door when we left. Place was decorated cute and appeals to the influencer crowd. My only gripe was the wooden benches that didn’t any have cushions and the chili oil wasn’t spicy, only fragrant.

“Came here late after a late concert looking for something to eat.”
Came here late after a late concert looking for something to eat. One of the few food places still open after midnight so I decided to check it out. The black garlic tonkotsu ramen was big, fresh, and delicious. Their chicken Karage was hot spicy and plentiful. To top it all off their Macha ice cream with tayaki blew me away. It was my first time having tayaki and they made a strong first impression. I cannot wait for the next big event in the city so that I can come back for the next round.

“My girlfriend and I were craving ramen and so we decided to come here based on the reviews and also...”
My girlfriend and I were craving ramen and so we decided to come here based on the reviews and also because of the late night closing time of 1:30am. We were definitely satisfied with our visit. There was no wait time despite it being busy. The seating is pretty close to one another, so you can hear lots of conversations, so keep that in mind, but we're ok with that. Ordering is all done through a QR code on the table, which we didn't mind because we like to look at the menu for a bit. The food was delicious and very fresh despite us being there around midnight. We'll definitely be back because it's not just ramen, they also have a wide range of other different plates that look great too. Recommended

“Great service, great food, and the prices are very reasonable.”
Great service, great food, and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere here is amazing very chill. I loved the whole ordering system you scan the code on the table with your phone and you order what you want very simple. Everything we order was delicious! Spicy cucumber salad and the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen were my favorite.

“Went with my husband for dinner.”
Went with my husband for dinner. He said it was the best Ramen he ever had. I really loved the sliced beef and the kimchi. The oysters were really good as well. The food came out super quick. It was a lot of In-N-Out traffic, but it was very easy to walk in and get a table because they cook the food very fast. The cocktails were amazing as well. I feel like it was a good price point. Huge plus is that they’re open till 1:30 in the morning. We will be back.

“Had a fabulous dinner with my bestie, and we had a blast.”
Had a fabulous dinner with my bestie, and we had a blast! We sampled a bit of everything, and while this spot is famous for its ramen, the seafood dishes were the real stars. My friend, feeling brave, ordered oysters for the first time and they turned out to be one of her faves of the night. We totally over-ordered and ended up with leftovers for days. The only hiccup was that our food came out a bit out of order—ramen before appetizers—but it wasn't a big deal. The drinks were tasty, and with patio season in full swing, this place is a must-visit!

“You need to get to here.”
You need to get to here! 🍜 This #hiddengem recently made Infatuation Chicagos list of best ramen places in the city and they’re the only ramen spot staying open until 1:30am! Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample. Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini. Go check them out for some good food and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!

“Great Ramen restaurant to come to late night.”
Great Ramen restaurant to come to late night. The neighborhood offers plenty of parking. The place is dimly lit and has a good atmosphere. Ramen was good as well, fairly priced at about $15.

“It’s a self service type of establishment.”
It’s a self service type of establishment. They will seat you, but you scan the QR code on your table to order from your phone. The good thing is you can send one order and always go back to add later, as I did. I ordered a ramen and crab Rangoon. I was hesitant about ordering the Yuzu chicken ramen since it had baked chicken. However, the chicken was very well seasoned. I enjoyed every bite. I very much enjoyed the ramen. Cost $13.99. The crab Rangoon came with 4 pieces for $5.99. I don’t care for the crab Rangoon since it was mostly cream and onions. I just don’t know where some places put the crab because it’s not in the crab Rangoon. Food came out within 5 minutes or ordering. It was pretty fast. The ambiance is fine. They had Christmas music playing which was pretty good. Seats aren’t the most comfortable. I sat on the bench. Service only got 4 stars because of everything is automated there isn’t much interaction. It was efficient though.
