Q Sushi Bar & Omakase — one of Ravenswood's strongest japanese spots. Strong visual attention on every plate. Priced right. Christopher Smith: "The scallops were as sweet and the fat on a perfectly grilled ribeye"

“Having tried more expensive Michelin-rated Omakase locations, Q Sushi was as enjoyable, and I expect to return next time I am in town”
amazing food, bad service, weird environment.
The food here was good, the service here was so terrible.
Very disappointed with our experience. Came here with a big group and we all got the omakase experience.

“Really fun omakase experience.”
Really fun omakase experience. Sit at the counter, drink with the chefs. Expect Kaiseki style omakase if you go for that $99 and excellent multicourse menu.

“Great restaurant with great omakase.”
Great restaurant with great omakase. It’s also affordable for an omakase. Additionally, waiter Mike and Chef Park adds to the experience. Location is also plus. When I want great Sushi this is the place for me!

“What a privilege to enjoy an Omakase meal with chef Stephen and the crew.”
What a privilege to enjoy an Omakase meal with chef Stephen and the crew! I got to sample various delicate fish dishes prepared in front of me along with a soup and a rice dish included in the price. Want to try different fish textures? They got it. Want the bells and whistles like fish roes, caviar and stuff? They got it. For $100, this was a great intro to the Omakase concept. Chef and the crew were down-to-earth people and was a pleasure to chat with. Sitting at the bar solo, we chatted a lot about Chicago sports as well as places I visited here in Chicago. Having tried more expensive Michelin-rated Omakase locations, Q Sushi was as enjoyable, and I expect to return next time I am in town.

“Omakase tasting menu (8 courses) was fascinating, and very tasty.”
Omakase tasting menu (8 courses) was fascinating, and very tasty. Only complaint, if any, was the $25 per pour of sake, although it was good quality, at that price we should have just bought the whole bottle.

“Stopped in tonight for my husband’s birthday and did the omakase tasting.”
Stopped in tonight for my husband’s birthday and did the omakase tasting. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. Server was very attentive, we never went without. Sushi chef created some very unique and tasty dishes! We left stuffed and it was a great value for what you get! Highly recommend!

“We were looking at sushi spots in Chicago, and Sushi Q caught my eye.”
We were looking at sushi spots in Chicago, and Sushi Q caught my eye! They offer a variety of sashimi, nigiri, and other dishes, and they also have a chef selection or omakase, which was one of the best for the value and taste we had here in the States. The omakase had many dishes and was definitely worth the price. An appetizer, miso soup, multiple sashimi pieces, 4 pieces of nigiri, a handroll, 4 pieces of maki, and MORE were included for around $100. The tea was also unlimited, and we had many refills. The server was also friendly and checked on us quite often. There was plently of space outside and inside. Overall, Sushi Q has a great omakase at an amazing price point, and the food was fresh and delicious. Definitely try out their omakase!

“Came here for my 32nd Birthday.”
Came here for my 32nd Birthday. I didn’t do the omakase and decided to pick out my own orders. The nigiri and sashimi are so fresh and delicious! The chef even gave us complementary rolls!!! He’s the best!! The staffs are so sweet and pleasant! Here are my personal favorite sushi order! Ebi shrimp (sweet w/ nice texture), uni (sweet & creamy!!), hotate scallop nigiri!, fatty tuna (buttery & melts in mouth!), salmon nigiri, and salmon maki (bang for you buck!only $15 not on menu but it’s high quality salmon!) I also recommend the green tea mochi ice cream! You can actually taste the stronger green tea in it! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back again and try more!
