“Fresh fish, expert preparation, and attentive service. Very reasonably prices. BYOB.”

“If u like quality sushi this is the place, in my humble opinion it’s one of the best in Chicago. We been coming here for many years even to the previous location and it’s always consistently amazing, usually go for verity of sashimi and I absolutely love the scallop roll and tuna tataki.”

“Food was very good but service was slow and they forgot about our food. In general this is not a place for a short meal. Very good fish quality!”

“A truly indulgent contemporary sushi place. The rolls at Ora are so creative and full of texture. Highly recommend the following: - baked oyster with egg custard, so garlicky - Kani roll, has a surprising taste of lemon to compliment the crab BYOB with a charge per person, not too bad.”

“The spicy salmon maki is INCREDIBLE. Easily in my top 3 rolls I’ve ever had - and I’ve had A LOT of sushi rolls. I’d go back just to eat this again. Everything else was solid too. The service was great, and the chef behind the counter made sure everything was excellent.”

“Really outstanding. Probably some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. The spicy salmon is a must (sorry no pic of that).”

“Friendly service. Incredible food. Aesthetic interior. Perfect for date night.”

“Stopped in The finally tried this new location. Down the street. The food was beyond exceptional. Very fresh. Very delicious. Service was good atmosphere wonderful.”

“The first time I came here it was amazing, and I’ve been back three more times since. I love that it’s BYOB and you can bring your favorite bottle of wine. The service is fantastic, but honestly, something feels like it’s slipping in the kitchen. Maybe they’re short-staffed or the proportions in the recipes are being overlooked, because the flavor is there but something’s missing. Still, I’ll keep coming back!”

“Stopped into Ora Sushi for dinner and overall had a really good experience. The space is modern and clean, with a relaxed vibe. The food was fresh and nicely presented. The Surf & Turf Roll was definitely the standout — the seared beef on top was amazing. The Ebi Tempura Roll was epic, perfectly crunchy with a great balance of flavors. If you’re into spice, the Spicy Tuna Roll is definitely for you — it packs a lot of heat. The edamame starter was good, though a bit on the bland side. Service was friendly and the atmosphere inviting. A solid spot for sushi in Chicago”

“This sushi spot has a lot going for it—our server was absolutely adorable and provided delightful service, making us feel welcome and taken care of. The ambiance was chic, with a vibe that’s perfect for a night out. The food, while good, didn’t quite blow me away. The sushi rolls were solid, but nothing truly memorable. We tried four rolls, and while the flavors were enjoyable, some elements didn’t quite hit the mark. For instance, the Surf ‘n’ Turf roll had a sauce that didn’t wow me, and the pairing of ribeye with shrimp tempura felt a bit mismatched. The oyster motoyaki was flavorful, but the texture wasn’t my favorite— too slimy for my palate. As for the wasabi tale roll, it was very good but stopped short of being amazing. The salmon tataki was less impressive than the wasabi tale, though the Sakana roll stood out as the highlight of the meal. Prices felt a bit inflated for the overall experience, which was nice but not exceptional. While I’m glad I gave it a try, I’m not certain I’d return. For me, it was a good, one-time experience that didn’t quite justify the cost.”
