Kajiken Chicago — honest japanese in Chinatown. Sleek and intentional, with the aesthetic dialed in. Traditional preparation with honest flavors. "The karaage was so good, crispy and juicy" — Min Huang

“As for the homura don, which was a ground pork rice bowl, this was the most disappointing, 2 stars, compared to other Japanese restaurants back home in Michigan, as well as the Taiwanese version, which is lots of ground pork drenched over rice with a sauce and pickled vegetables, which were nonexistent in this recipe”
My friends and I visited the restaurant at 9 PM on Monday. We didn’t like literally anything. The service was terrible.
The Roast Beef bowl looks completely different from the picture.

“I was headed to daifuku ramen but saw it was super busy so i took a peek a Kajiken and I really dont regret it.”
I was headed to daifuku ramen but saw it was super busy so i took a peek a Kajiken and I really dont regret it. I took myself out on a solo date and ate there spicy tonkatsu ramen with endamame and I have no regrets. There was so much flavor and the employees gave me my space while I watched my netflix show and enjoyed my food. They seem very nice and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I would recommend this to people tbh

“Pretty good brothless ramen for $13.”
Pretty good brothless ramen for $13. Though I think quantity is bit less, as most people can easily eat 1 1/2 ramen by themselves.

“One of my new favorite spots on Chicago.”
One of my new favorite spots on Chicago! This noodle place has such cute decorations and an intimate eating space. The dishes have a pretty wide range while also staying true to the theme and everything is reasonably priced (can be really hard to find these days especially in a big city)! We got the chili edamame and fried chicken to share and then I got some really great noodles for my main! Everything was delicious and I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!

“I loved this little place.”
I loved this little place. Super clean, modern and friendly. I was satisfied with my bowl of noodles. (Spicy Tonkotsu)… It’s not real spicy tho. But I was still happy.

“My fave abura soba.”
My fave abura soba! Love the chewiness of the noodles and just enough flavor! My fave is sukiyaki one! The age tofu was just enough ginger flavor and radish. I wish they added the fish flakes!
