My boyfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant! It’s our new go to spot. Amy is an absolute sweetheart and always delivers great service!!! Definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the area or planning on making the drive over. Restaurant is always clean, food is great, service is on point. Don’t forget to ask for Amy!!

What really stood out was the warm and attentive service from the staff, who made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. We came here to celebrate a birthday, and the team went above and beyond by surprising us with a heartfelt happy birthday song and a slice of cake. That thoughtful gesture made the celebration even more special and memorable. Highly recommend this place for great food and excellent service. We will definitely be coming back!

One of a kind Japanese eat-all-you-can experience! The food is absolutely amazing — every dish is served in just the right portion so there’s less waste and you get to try everything on the menu. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the wagyu beef is simply fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine! 🍣🥩✨

So freaking glad we have a Japanese BBQ spot in oakpark, everything was fresh and affordable. The workers were professional and took care of me at my table , needless to say I'll be back for my birthday to try the diamond platter but I'll be honest for what I got in the gold platter diamond might be overkill lol.

My wife and I have been waiting for what feels like forever for this place to open and it did not disappoint. It's not totally clear online, but it's all you can eat for either $45 or $55 per person, depending on your selection. We chose the $45 option and were very satisfied. The short plate and toro beef plate were both flavorful and the sushi, while not a large selection or the main focus, was comparable to other places in Downtown Oak Park. The service was fast, the staff friendly, and the sides great. We'll be coming here on special occasions for years.

First of all this is the best place you'll find for Japanese BBQ in Chicago area. It's perfect, phenomenal, fresh and AYCE in the whole Chicago area! No place like this one! Affordable, delicious, creative and decorative. Each dish is like an art work. The meat quality is excellent with a variety of options from wagyu steak, wagyu short rib, wagyu ribeye, wagyu filet migon, beef tougue, lobster, seafood, pork , vegetables, sushi etc. Everything was super fresh, well-balanced, and made just right. The drinks were amazing too , you can really taste the quality. Not enough photoes to show here because of all are gone before I took the picture. Everyone's friendly personality and professionalism really stood out — Great menu recommendations and made sure our food and drinks were just right. Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and exceptional service made the experience far beyond our expectation. We’ll definitely be back — can't wait!

The restaurant is amazing, it made me fell in love with bbq in general! The food was delicious, and I especially loved the sushi. It was worth every penny. The service was amazing, they were super nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was beautiful, everything was decorated perfectly and it fit especially well with the theme. I recommend this to anyone who wants a delicious meal and an amazing time.

To say I am impressed is an understatement. Between the beautiful decor and the exceptional food, Gyumon is a total smash hit! It fits right in with the other quality restaurants in Downtown Oak Park. If you are looking for tasty food, wonderful service, and a delicious boba tea, this is the place for you! You have to try the short rib. :)

The barbecue restaurant we'd been waiting for two years has finally opened! This undoubtedly adds to Oak Park's culinary appeal. The environment is elegant and comfortable, the service is attentive, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The menu offers a $55 Diamond Set Meal and a $45 Gold Set Meal. We ordered the Diamond Set Meal, which includes high-quality meats such as Japanese Wagyu beef, beef tongue, and ribeye. It also includes various appetizers, sushi, Japanese ramen, cold noodles, dumplings, and carbonated drinks. If you prefer, there are also several authentic milk tea options to choose from (milk tea is not included in the set meal price). The set meal offers a wide variety of choices, allowing you to enjoy multiple dishes in one place. It was truly a great dining experience and definitely worth coming back to.

“The food was great.”

The food was great! I enjoyed their bubble tea. Ive gotten the matcha strawberry and the grape jasmine tea with cheese foam. They did a great job and I’m definitely coming back for that. My grape drink had grape peals so it must mean they used fresh fruits! I hope so! ^_^ Though it did take a long time to wait for my drink - at least 10 minutes. It was possibly because the person before me ordered so many drinks! The all you can eat was a great experience. We had a hiccup with the grill we were using. It was super weak and would barely heat up so they moved us and even gave us extra time due to the inconvience. Everything in the gold tier was great. My friend who doesn’t usually like wagyu liked their wagyu. The sauces were bomb. Would love sesame oil as an option in the future. While this was a Japanese bbq, they served Korean food such as bibimbap and kimchi. I think the scissors were not really necessary since all the meats were already cut. I never used it when cooking at the table. The workers were all very nice. When I was waiting for my bubble tea (after eating), they were very hospitable and made sure we were comfortably seated. When eating jbbq, they were on top of clearing off plates. Overall, I would come back again. This is such a welcome addition to oak park :-) ahh, would love an hmart near by to encourage more businesses like this! Great job. It was worth the 2 year wait for the construction to end. The inside is so beautiful and the grill is authentic. (From my understanding the grills were imported from Japan?) I hope they consider bday discounts in the future!!
