The StopAlong — honest italian in Bucktown. Order the Garlic Knots. The atmosphere is half the draw here, and solid veggie options. Ray: "The meat was seasoned well and very juicy"

“The service is great and the food is phenomenal”
Food was great, liked the burger and their fries were good.
The customer service experience was unsatisfactory.
Unwelcoming service, I was overlooked and wasn’t greeted even while standing at the counter.

“We really enjoyed burgers at The Stopalong.”
We really enjoyed burgers at The Stopalong! Large, juicy not too crisped smash burger patties and perfectly melted American cheese. Good quality bread including their gluten free bun! The only thing I didn’t love was the stringy texture of their caramelized onions. Hot and fresh french fries. Good quality cheese on the cheese fries! Quick and friendly service. Worth a stop in a neighborhood full of great burger options!

“One of the very few places deserving of a 5 star.”
One of the very few places deserving of a 5 star. This place is AMAZING. The service is great and the food is phenomenal. First time I have a 10/10 pizza and a 10/10 burger from the same place! The fries are fine I would say 7/10. Chicken is 7/10 as well. No one can have it all but burger and pizza top notch especially with the declining small cheval, this is a winner. Keep up the great service and great food! (Excuse my poor photography skills) . pro tip: go to the restaurant exactly when the time says to be there, don’t go too early. They are efficient and plan well

“Stopped in before Chicago artist’s Don’t Fret memorial, which was held in Park 567 across the street.”
Stopped in before Chicago artist’s Don’t Fret memorial, which was held in Park 567 across the street. Friendly and quick service, excellent White Pie (with added fresh basil) and Short-Stop Burger, both recommended. The toys and artwork are bright and cheerful but the space still seems somehow not alive, our only criticism.

I stopped by The StopAlong for a quick lunch meeting and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was delicious—loved the crunchiness of the crust! I also tried the burger, and it was just as good. Great flavors, quality food, and all at an affordable price. Definitely worth a visit!

“Classic 80s vibe with a solid menu.”
Classic 80s vibe with a solid menu. Great for a quick bite or a last stop after the bar. Plenty of Gluten free options were a huge win for us and the Animal Fries seemed a bit scary on the menu but we're sooo good.

“Stopped in here after seeing some good reviews and it did not disappoint.”
Stopped in here after seeing some good reviews and it did not disappoint! The cheesy garlic bread has a beautiful pull that lets you know it’s going to be as good as it looks. And it was!! The burger was delicious and the cocktails were made to perfection. I will definitely be back!

“Burger diner with Star Wars and Super Mario decor.”
Burger diner with Star Wars and Super Mario decor. Thursday night special is a double smash burger off their list of custom burgers, fries (try the animal), a tall boy and a shot for $17. After your meal, there is a free arcade room in the back with stand up classics that include Donkey Kong, Mrs. Pac-Man, Tyson's Punch Out, and Galaga. Add The Stop Along to your list of Chicago must dos.

“Solid spot with burgers, fries, pizza, and calzones.”
Solid spot with burgers, fries, pizza, and calzones. Lots of 80s and really 90s pop culture decor along with a few arcade and board games. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. Not a ton of seating but there is a patio when weather permits. Got calzones on our visit. They are only offered on Wednesdays and were very good, coming with garlic marinara and a garlic crumble on top. Definitely would recommend trying to hit this place up on Wednesday just to try them.

Yum!! Burger was just perfect. The meat was seasoned well and very juicy. The sauce was the perfect homemade condiment. The cheese bread was garlicky gooey goodness! The vibes are so nostalgic, I love it and will be taking my guests here as part of our burger tour!

“These smash burgers are immaculate.”
These smash burgers are immaculate! Salty, caramelized, and seasoned to perfection. When I think about a smash burger this is the joint I’ll now imagine in my mind. I lived in SoCal for 10 years and only returned to Chicago last year. Having experienced in&out for an over a decade I can honestly say these animals are certified in&out style! The sauce, the onions, the thin cut fresh tasting fry are all almost the same as the OG in cali. It was my first time going in last night and I’d say I will be coming back for sure. I ordered the double and my gf ordered the single and both were great! She substituted her fries for the Route 41 salad and I didn’t taste it but it looked amazing. The entire restaurant smells like some tasty pizza as well but we didn’t try any this time. I’ll add that around 630 when we went in there was mainly families with kids. So keep that in mind that there’s a family friendly atmosphere and if that’s not what you’re looking for just FYI. Also, there wasn’t any beer on draft at this time. Lastly, everyone who works here was so friendly! Loved that about this place and the fact that the check comes on an original Nintendo cartridge, that’s badass!
