I grew up in East Haven, Ct currently live in Orlando Florida and one of the best pizzas I have ever had has been here at piece pizza in Chicago. Dare I say better than the originator of new haven style pizza frank pepes apizza. I tried deep dish I tried tavern style and this place just hits the spot. Also add on that they have really great beer and this is truly a win. Should I ever find myself back in Chicago I will be here.

Excellent place with really good pizza and a some really nice beers! Second time visiting this place but the first time that i try their pizza, and it really lived up to my expectations! The brewery brew some really good pilsners. My favourite is the Door Code, a german pilsner. But also The Weight (pale ale), Top Heavy Hefeweizen and O'Rourken for the Weekend (Dortmund lager) are exceptionally good! Its well worth to visit this place and the area too!

I have been waiting for a year to try this pizza! My boyfriend is somewhat of a pizza snob, so I had to beg him to come here. We were not disappointed! The pizza was delicious. Tangy sauce, melty cheese, and very crisp crusty. It all comes perfectly together. We will definitely be back!

If you’re on the hunt for outstanding pizza in a lively atmosphere, Piece Brewery is a must! Visited on a Friday night, and let me tell you, this place was packed—a clear sign that something special was happening here. We ordered the Hot Doug’s Atomic Sausage Pizza, and from the first bite, we knew we’d hit the jackpot. But we didn’t see what a night and experience was going to be with the food! This red pizza features a thin, crispy crust that’s both light and perfectly sturdy, giving each slice an incredible base for flavor. The pepper jack cheese melted smoothly over the crust, bringing a subtle spicy creaminess that paired beautifully with the toppings. The caramelized onions added a sweet depth that balanced out the heat, while Hot Doug’s famous Atomic Sausage was simply next-level. Juicy and bursting with spices, this sausage was the real star—it packed a punch of bold, unique flavors that I haven’t tasted anywhere else. Every ingredient was placed with precision, creating a beautifully layered experience in every bite. Piece Brewery nails the thin crust game and takes pizza to new heights with unique, crave-worthy flavors. Even with the crowd, the service was on point and efficient. This place is an absolute gem, and I can’t wait to return!

As a native Chicagoan (lived there 50 years before moving on), I have strong opinions about pizza. I'm old enough to remember old fashioned 1970s deep dish pizza, and the 1990s emergence of the now more popular tavern style pizza. And I like them all. But my favorite Chicago pizza is not really Chicago pizza at all. It's the New Haven style pizza served at Piece Brewery. Whenever I'm in Chicago, this is always one of my first stops. It is one of those places that's just perfect, and I hope it never changes. I always get a red pizza, with added clams and garlic. Yes, I said clams. Don't knock it until you try it. Piece is also noteworthy for being one of Chicago's very first brewpubs, going way back to the beginning of the modern craft beer movement. Their beer brewed in house is still pretty good, and goes great with the pizza.

“This is THE BEST pizza in Chicago.”

This is THE BEST pizza in Chicago. New Haven style done perfectly. I took one bite and thought I was on Wooster ST. Crisp crust, amazing sauce, and fresh quality toppings made this pizza absolutely delicious. The Caprese Salad on greens was very tasty.The staff was friendly and attentive. It is a brew pub and had a great vibe. Definitely worth coming to again and again! 👍👍
