“Great pizza and great environment try there appetizers they’re really good too there’s a huge selection of Italian dishes 💯”

“Salerno's Pizza is a neighborhood gem. Cozy corner pizza parlor that fills up quickly at dinnertime. Grab a high top near the bar for the nest seats in the house. Visited on a Monday and had 1/2 off pizza and a bucket of Miller for $10. The deal, staff and pizza is a no brainer. Started was a chopped salad with Ranch along with a fresh baked loaf with butter... No olive oil to be found, but lots of parmesan. Tried the Salerno's sampler and was not disappointed by the shareable size. Sampler comes with a Chicken Parm, Meatball, 1/2 Italian sausage, Ravioli, sauteed mushrooms all swimming in the tomato gravy. Take away the gravy and the Parm needs seasoning, the meatball a bit more garlic and the ravioli a touch of salt. However, dunk the garlic bread and you're in for a real treat. Produce was fresh, pizza crust a good crunch and the sausage and pepperoni burnt in the oven to perfection... I say deliciously burnt due to the crisped meat edges. The restaurant is very clean and bar staff well organized. Suzy had our backs and table the moment we steeped into the bar area. Only mistake made was not leaving room for desert... next time the Tiramisu is mine. Updated to 5 Stars July 2026 due to the quality pizza on Mondays, the huge $7 Burger Deal on Wednesday and Happy Hour Specials M-F 3 to 6 pm.”

“Recently ordered a tray of spaghetti with meat sauce for a party. It was a fan favorite. I wanted spaghetti n meatballs, however their meatballs are huge so they don't do that. I made my own on the side. They give you rolls, which were perfect to make little meatball sandwiches or eat with the pasta. They also sell the sternos($8) to keep your food hot. Good service and price for catering! Fast forward 8/11/25... I never was a fan of their huge slices of pizza because the dough to sauce/cheese ratio was off. Too doughy!!I had a sausage slice yesterday. Wow! They changed things up. Thinner, more sauce and cheese. Thank you. May have to leave Dinico's for a few.”
“Came to eat lunch for an event. Food was great. Thin crust pizza and delicious fresh salad. Warm bread and butter on the table.”
“They did a great job handling my huge family after my niece's First Communion.”
“Great pizza, I like to buy a whole pizza, but recently I started to walk in to buy slices and they are just as great. I was lucky enough to get their Detroit style pizza as a slice and it was amazing.”
“Love the deep dish pizza, as always! Our first stop when we come to town!”
“Other locations are not bad, but Oak Park location will always be the BEST. I never have issues with my order, Always hot and fresh. Chicken parm is phenomenal. Steak sandwich AWESOME. Hot Wings are top tier. My family also highly recommend lasagna, fried chicken dinner, and of course you can never go wrong with their pizza. Convenient item/ on the go: pizza slice deal! Desserts and seafood are also decent. I don’t think they have a single bad item. 100/100”
“If you ever find yourself in Oak Park and need a slice of pizza that could double as a structural support beam, make your way to Salerno's Pizza. This place is still my go-to spot for a slice, and honestly I don’t see that changing anytime soon. First of all, let’s talk about the deal. A huge slice of pizza and a pop for about eight bucks. In today’s economy that feels less like a meal and more like a community outreach program. The slice is so big that when they hand it to you, you instinctively look around to see if you should’ve brought backup napkins and a spotter. But I will say… I do miss Betty. If you’ve been around Salerno’s long enough, you know exactly who I’m talking about. Betty ran that counter like the air traffic controller of pizza slices, and we all know she’s basically a Berwyn/Cicero legend. I’m convinced she had some kind of supernatural ability to detect hungry customers before they even opened the door. One time I swear I was still halfway down the block, and when I walked in she already had a slice warming in the oven and just yelled across the room: “Slice and a pop?” I hadn’t even ordered yet. I hadn’t even made eye contact. At that point I just nodded because clearly Betty had already consulted the pizza universe and knew what was happening. I’m also pretty sure she could tell when someone was debating a second slice. You’d be sitting there thinking about it… and suddenly Betty would appear with a look like: “Let’s not pretend we’re done here.” Places like Salerno’s stick around for a reason — great pizza, big slices, good people, and local legends like Betty behind the counter. Still one of the best quick pizza stops around. Pro tip: Come hungry. That slice isn’t messing around.”
