Where to start? Okay, I feel like a total traitor. Connie's has been my favorite stuffed pizza ever since I was a kid. When I moved to the southwest side 2 years ago, I bragged to my family...Connie's delivers to me! I have been trying all the pizza places in the area (Pizza is my favorite food), but I wasn't impressed. A pizza delivery guy told me about Positanos, said it was better then Connies. So, I finally ordered delivery last night. Here are my thoughts: 1. Holy cow! This large stuffed pizza had to weigh at least 10 lbs! It was so heavy because there was so much cheese and the perfect amount of sauce on top. What a beautiful pizza it was! 2. I couldn't believe the price! No where else can you get a large stuffed pizza delivered for so much less than $30. 3. The taste...was that pizza guy right? Is Positano's stuffed pizza truly better than Connies? YES. I feel like a Sox fan that now roots for the Cubs. I actually brought a slice to work with me for lunch today and ate it with Connie's plastic ware 😯 The sauce is the right amount of chunky, sweet, savory, and garlic to satisfy this garlic lover and not too overpowering for regular people like my hubby. The cheese....cheese for days. The tasty, buttery crust: not too thick on the bottom which allowed for more cheese and sauce. Connies, for sure, has the experience. The bread, the atmosphere, all those sauce cans all over the place, all of that space...but Positano's has the best stuffed pizza on the southwest side. Also, the price is more than right. One more thing: When I called to place my order, I needed the delivery driver to know my buzzer code. The worker taking my order put the delivery driver on to talk to me. I thought that was really cool. I saw some reviews that were less than 5 stars, due to the small restaurant. Thet makes me really sad. It's a pizza place, guys. Get your pizza to go, or get it delivered! If you need to sit, sit! What more so you really need?
