“Fun night out. Got a deep dish, a tavern-style thin crust, and a big Caesar salad to share. So much food! Staff was super friendly. They warned us the deep dish would take 45mins to bake but they were offered to bring the salad and tavern-style out prior. Worked out totally fine for us. If you come hungry and want deep dish, know that it takes time so definitely order an app. Drinks aren’t fancy just soda and lemonade - no alcohol (but you can bring your own). Completely casual atmosphere - loads of kids/families. We left with a big box of pizza for later and full bellies.”

“really good atmosphere! The portion is larger than downtown one so try this store at hyde park.”

“I went to Giordano’s near South Shore in Chicago with my friend Sam and the experience was really great! We did have a long wait because Deep Dish takes time to prepare, but the pizza was worth that wait. Deep Dish is a staple no matter where you get it in Chicago, however this place has one of the best tasting deep dish pizzas I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was also incredible, tons of pictures and memorabilia on the wall, makes it feel like an old style Italian restaurant. Definitely recommend, but expect a fairly long wait if you order pizza.”

“My favorite part about visiting Chicago, deep dish pizza. The breadsticks were alright, but the wings (Calabrian chili honey) were amazing!! Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The pizza was stuffed with more cheese than should be mathematically possible, my party of 3 was ravenous when we got there, but we still ended up with a lot of leftovers. I think a medium would’ve been fine lol Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in town visiting your UChicago family”

“Was delicious food with great service! Was only visiting CHI-TOWN to run the marathon! But it was my 1st time in a BYOB restaurant! Loved it!”

“Deep dish pizza was great. Wait time was long. Staff was amicable enough.”

“Very yummy and is a classic deep dish for the tourist looking for the famous Chicago deep dish pizza. We ordered the large fourteen inch pepperoni and it is said to feed four to six people but five of us couldn’t finish it! The serving sizes are huge and the food was delicious. It did take about fourth five minutes for the pizza to come out of the over once we ordered so just keep that in mind when going there to have a sit down meal. Everything was great.”

“Showed up at 1 P.M. and enjoyed a nice, quiet meal. Our server seemed a little bit miffed at us but other than that we had a great time.”

“Was visiting Chicago and this place was close and convenient. ordered online for takeout with was fine. Pizza was just ok. There is definately better deep dish pizza around Chicago. If you have no other place I guess I would go, if there are options, I would go elsewhere.”
