“Interesting mix of southern and Indian food. I expected there to be fusion food, but it's more that they have two separate menus with each. The lamb curry was fantastic. The chickpeas and rice were also very tasty. The samosa and roti were good dipped in the curries. for the southern food, the fried chicken and cornbread were good but fairly standard. the mac and cheese surprised me as being my favorite. the staff were friendly and the food (cafeteria style) was served instantly. i would definitely recommend it and i will be back.”

“Delicious and flavorful Indian dishes with great combo options that include meat, warm Indian bread, and a side. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Just note that they do not have restrooms.”

“My family and I haven’t been here since 2019! We revisited today and we were happy to see the same people there with the same tasty recipe! The Father of the restaurant informed us that they’ve been there for 32 years! We love this place! Thank you for serving our neighborhood for so many years!”

“Ate here twice tried both their soul food and Indian food. Both options were good a well rounded restaurant that’ll make for a great lunch”

“Amazing diner. Would give 10 stars if I could. The owners are very friendly and amazing also food felt like home. They and their food made our last dinner in chicago memorable.”

“Tried CHICKEN SAMOSA and MANGO LASSI. The samosa was savoury, spicy and tasty bringing the desi flavours on track but the mango lassi is as usual sweet and less natural mangoes. Preferred destination for UC desi community. Small place in a busy neighbourhood of the city of Chicago, serving the best Indian food. Although, the cost is not justified with the quantity but the quality is just awesome. Preferred location for people near Hyde Park area or the south side of Chicago and the northern parts of Indiana. Still have a lot of scope to improve. Expecting an outlet in the Downtown, where the real competition and choices of desi food lovers prevails.”

“My expectations were very high after seeing all the positive reviews. Being the only Indian restaurant around, I expected much better. Unfortunately, this was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. There was almost no flavor at all. It honestly felt like I was eating plain rice with some ready-to-eat packaged curry poured over it. The food lacked the rich spices and freshness that make Indian cuisine so enjoyable. Unfortunately, I had to throw the food away after just a couple of bites because I simply couldn’t eat any more. It was a very disappointing experience.”
“Love this place. Best samosas I've ever had. Maybe the best butter chicken too. Reasonably priced and not busy at all, which makes no sense - this place should be packed.”
