Kababish BBQ & Grill — honest indian in Old Town, where the Naan is worth ordering. Rooted in technique and tradition throughout. The staff makes it feel personal, and open late. Jordan Falk: "The grilled meats are juicy, tender, and layered with flavors from the laborious marinating process"

“It took almost an hour for biryani to be done I assume because they were still cooking a big batch of it, but well worth the wait”

“Finally found a good spot for some Indian/Pakistani food.”
Finally found a good spot for some Indian/Pakistani food. The best samosa I have had in US after trying a number of places. Highly recommend their biryani and the beef keema that I got was good as well. They are also very generous with their portions, so when you get food from here keep in mind you’re basically buying two meals in one.

“I will not affect your rating, but you guys are losing business because of these Uber and limo drivers.”
I will not affect your rating, but you guys are losing business because of these Uber and limo drivers. So many cars were not able to even enter your parking lot and they left and all these Uber drivers and limo drivers were standing outside chilling and enjoying and gossiping. It took me 15 minutes to enter and then it took me another 15 minutes just to get out of this parking lot, I went inside the restaurant and literally only seven people were eating food while your parking lot was filled with more than hundred cars.. friendship is one thing, but you don’t mix that with business in real world you are losing money. Every car space occupied in your parking lot is a customer lost for the moment so think about it and make calculations that how much money you will be losing on weekends. Food is great !!!

“This place is a gem.”
This place is a gem. Authentic Pakistani food. I see locals go here to eat. Samosas- buttery, flaky crust Chili Chicken rice - spicy and flavorful Goat Mandi - the meat was tender and juicy Goat biryani- great flavors It’s not a fancy place, but it feels very homey and you know the food is going to be good. There is free parking as well. It is open late hours so it’s also a really great drunk food option.

“The food here is absolutely fantastic.”
The food here is absolutely fantastic. The chicken biryani comes in a generous portion and is packed with flavor. We also loved the veggie pakora and the lamb. The restaurant’s interior is quite unassuming and not the most comfortable for dining in, so taking the food to go is the best way to enjoy it.

“Tried Kababish this spring and have been coming back regularly since.”
Tried Kababish this spring and have been coming back regularly since. Everything is delicious. Portion sizes are appropriately large for the ~$16 an entree will set you back. Besides the items on the listed menu each day will have different dishes available not listed on the menu that are laid out on the counter where you order so be sure to ask about those if they look good to you. They also serve chai which is so delicious, it’s not listed in the menu but just ask they are very nice. Naan is very cheap and made fresh, super good. Expect 15-20 minutes for an entree. Water is free just ask for cups, and pitchers of water can be found at the bottom of the drink fridge. Kababish is probably the most flavorful thing I eat all month when I come which is why I keep coming back, it’s so good.

“We really loved the fantastic goat biryani which was perfectly complimented with the yogurt sauce, lime, and onions.”
We really loved the fantastic goat biryani which was perfectly complimented with the yogurt sauce, lime, and onions. The naan was perfect and definitely the best I've had in a long time. We also enjoyed the dal which had the perfect creamy texture and the right amount of spice. The chicken chirga was also delicious and the chicken was extra juicy and tasty.

“Highly Recommend: will certainly be having again, the food here is great.”
Highly Recommend: will certainly be having again, the food here is great! I had to go the chili chicken and chicken biryani. Chili chicken was good and the biryani was really awesome, very good flavor, I could not be happier. It took almost an hour for biryani to be done I assume because they were still cooking a big batch of it, but well worth the wait. The portions given were very good as well. Will be trying their other dishes that they serve on different days. Had the goat biryani and gyro naan wrap - which had some heat to it. Both were delicious.

“Listen. You think you've had good Pakistani food. You think you've had good biryani. You're wrong....”
Listen. You think you've had good Pakistani food. You think you've had good biryani. You're wrong. You haven't eaten real biryani or pulao until you've eaten at Kababish. I have NEVER had such good Pakistani food in my life. The depth of flavor in the rice dishes is out of this world. Their wraps are made with deliciously marinated meats and warm, fresh naan that is buttery flakey in your mouth. The grilled meats are juicy, tender, and layered with flavors from the laborious marinating process. The owner and staff treat my girlfriend and me like family. We come here at least twice a week and honestly sometimes more. This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the city. Thank you! Jordan and Jaime
