“Update: no trip to Chicago is complete without a stop at Flo! Had Lobo skillet with black beans and sautéed spinach subbed for the eggs! So very good! Such a great brunch spot! Had the veggie burrito with black beans subbed for eggs and it was FABULOUS! We all had the green Bloody Mary’s and they are so good! Also the skillet with black beans subbed for egg. One of us had the breakfast with eggs and they were done to perfection! This place continues to be worth the wait! This was our second visit here! It’s usually on the must do list every time we visit Chicago. The Bloody Mary, either red or green, are amazing with the homemade bacon bourbon! Their special chilaquiles are always delicious as is the skillet! You can easily substitute black beans or avocado for eggs. Usually there’s a wait, and it’s so worth the wait. Service was excellent! Their smoothies are really top notch also! I love a good savory breakfast/brunch/lunch! This is a really AWESOME spot!”

“Flo is a true neighborhood gem, bringing vibrant Southwest flavors to a warm and welcoming setting. The menu is full of standout dishes, with excellent daily specials that keep things fresh and exciting. Their salsas are especially memorable—bright, flavorful, and the perfect complement to every bite. What makes Flo truly special is the atmosphere. It’s comfortable, unpretentious, and deeply rooted in the community, with genuinely kind, attentive people who make you feel right at home. A go-to spot for delicious food, great energy, and a dining experience that always feels personal.”

“Flo has such an amazing brunch menu. There’s something for everyone. It’s very reasonably priced. The drinks are really good! The variety of homemade hot sauces really does it for me. I highly recommend the carrot one. Their black beans are fresh and not mushy.”

“easily my favorite spot in the area to grab an amazing breakfast. I never miss this spot when I come to Chicago. I love the bloody mary, the beer back, the food is on par. Unique and full of flavor. if there is a wait, worth it. OR be like me and get there when they open and take your time.”

“Fantastic place for a tasty breakfast! The whole family loved it. The staff was very attentive and the food was authentic. We will be back!”

“I am so glad that I stopped by this place! I was in the area for something else and it popped up as a recommendation. Kudos on having vegetarian options! The bar waitress was amazing! The drinks were not strong, but I was there for the food, so I was okay with that. The veggie burrito was AMAZING! I went to the grocery store the next day trying to duplicate it 😂. Needless to say....I will be back! The food is reasonably priced, street parking only, and the wait time wasn't too long.”

“sat outside on march sunny day, brought the dogs and had the hibiscus margarita, thw pozole, a shrimp tostada, the flo bowl and as the chef had just made carrot cake… omg so wonderful”

“Skip the menu go straight to the hatch green Chile cheeseburger. Go on Wednesdays for half of wine. The cutest spot with the coolest people. Just perfect.”

“Flo is my favorite favorite favorite spot to come for chicken nachos. They are out of this world! All of their food is pretty great, I just have my favorite thing that I come at least once a month for. You can sit in their cozy restaurant or pick up, the staff is wonderful and I will always always come here.”

“I’ve been coming here for years! SO good. My faves are anything with their red or green sauces. Best huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and enchiladas.”

“We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch. We were immediately acknowledged and given waters. I had the Huevos Verdes - ate it all up! It was good. We shared a mimosa flight, it was standard mimosas; we expected it to be served on a flight plate but it wasn’t. Would go back for the huevos verdes and a good catch up with a friend over brunch :)”
