“Great bar! Came here to watch the England vs. Argentina game and was not disappointed! Very friendly people and cold beer 👍🏻”

“Was a fun English Pub atmosphere. Food was good. Large selection of beer. Service was good even though it was busy. Great place to stop and eat or have a drink if you are going to Drunk Shakespeare. It is just across the street.”

“I have gotten takeout of their bread pudding multiple times you absolutely must try it. It is the best traditional dessert I’ve ever had in Chicago. Today was my first time dining in, and I ordered the shepherd's pie and fries. The fries were excellent, but I was a bit disappointed with the shepherd's pie. It was under seasoned yet overly greasy. The dish was made of mashed potatoes, frozen vegetables, and ground meat, but the mashed potatoes on top didn't seem baked enough. The flavors of the potatoes, meat, and frozen veggies didn't blend together, and the texture was hard to describe. There was too much oil at the bottom, and it just didn't taste great, though it was barely acceptable. Since it was my first time trying it, maybe I just don't like shepherd's pie in general. That said, everything else was great, and I also ordered a bread pudding to go when I leave. The service here is excellent. The staff checked on me regularly and were incredibly friendly and polite. The atmosphere is also amazing everyone was cheering for the World Cup together, which made for a fun and relaxing vibe. Even though I don't really follow sports, I loved the overall decor and energy. I will definitely come back to try other dishes”

“The fish and chips were excellent, and the pie flight is a steal! We also enjoyed the soup of the day and the side salad. For downtown Chicago, this place was a really nice find with good food at a really reasonable price.”

“Tristin was a great server and even provided the best recommendation on a meal - the Baja Fish Tacos. Great atmosphere and food! Will visit again”

“The fish and chips won me here! Crispy and you actually get fish instead of heavy breading. The fries were great too. I normally don't eat tartar sauce but this one was good.”

“Stopped here after the Bears/Rams game for a bite. I was seated fast by a friendly host. The place has a cool ambience and was perfect for watching the snow come down as I was seated at a window. I had the hummus and the fish and chips. Both were so so good!!! Tartar was perfect as was the fish and slaw. Will definitely eat here again when I come back!”

“Decent spot for World Cup game. Some tables didn’t have the best view. Get there early for the big ones. They also don’t honor happy hour on game day for World Cup. Sound could have been higher during game Other than that the chicken fingers and bread pudding were great. Service was good Fish N chips $17 Bread pudding $10”

“Reviewing all scotch eggs in the area so the food rating is only for that item. It’s full of various flavors, as a scotch egg with a sauce typically is. The casing had an Italian vibe which is unique but not authentic, slight ding there. The fried casing flexed and had no crunch, cheapens it, ding there. Mustard is delicious and egg consistency is ideal. Will you like it? Absolutely. If I took authenticity out of the equation, it’s a 4 star.”
