I suggest guests with non-halal restrictions ask the staff before picking up the ingredients as some of the items have no labels and it may contain pork.

Tried the Tom Yum flavor at Zhangliang Malatang today and it was amazing! The broth tasted really authentic — perfectly balanced, flavorful, and so satisfying. All the ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. Friendly service as well. Highly recommend, especially if you love Tom Yum! Will definitely come back. 😋🔥

The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a huge selection of ingredients — fresh veggies, all kinds of noodles, seafood, meats, quail eggs, sausages, fish balls… literally everything you could want for hot pot. Everything is super clean, well-organized, and constantly refreshed. The variety is amazing, and you can really customize your bowl exactly how you want it. The meats are sliced beautifully, the veggies are crisp, and all the broth options hit the spot. It’s perfect for anyone who loves mixing flavors and building their own perfect bowl. The whole setup makes the experience fun — grab what you like, take your time choosing, and enjoy. Portion sizes, freshness, and value are all great. Definitely one of my favorite spots when I want something warm, comforting, and customizable. Highly recommend if you love hot pot or want to try something new! I’m definitely coming back. 🥘✨

It’s a build-your-own-bowl hotpot place and selections are pretty good. There’s a sauce bar for you to build your own dipping sauce. I love the classic broth medium spicy and would recommend that. It hits perfectly when you have that lemon water after eating because there’s a slight numbing sensation from the pepper and the detox water really complimented it 10/10

“Very delicious food and very much worth it to stop in.”

Very delicious food and very much worth it to stop in. The staff member let us use the room in the back because it was so hot for our party of 5 when he didn’t have to, and it made our night so special. We got to have a family style table and chat comfortably while enjoying really yummy hotpot. The ingredients had so many yummy options available and the food came out quickly, which was great for a group that had just spent all day walking around in a heatwave. Thank you so much! (Most of us ordered the bone broth soup base, but my friend also liked the Tom yum base. The price is calculated by weight of the ingredients you pick at the beginning)

I planned to visit another place which was promoted but there was a big line so I had to choose some other place to eat. I decided to come here and wasn't disappointed. The staff was very friendly, helped with everything, the selection of the additions for the soups is great and fresh. I myself cannot really handle spicy food so got the 'mildly spicy' soup and could enjoy it without issues. If you are in Chicago I definitely recommend this place.

“What a fun dining experience.”

What a fun dining experience! One of my friends put me on with this restaurant, and I don’t regret it. Such a unique way to make your own ramen, just be mindful of how much you serve yourself because I ended up not finishing my plate. 🍽️
