“Flavors are rich and deep till the last bite so juicy, you completely forget that there's no cheese on the burger it's phenomenal”

“Absolutely amazing.”
Absolutely amazing! We booked their tasting menu with alcohol pairing to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday. From start to finish this place takes you to another level of dining. Staff and service were professional and welcoming. Carson did a fantastic job helping us throughout the entire experience. The atmosphere and set up matched the live fire / open kitchen concept. Food creations were surprising and delicious, paired with unique cocktails and other beverages. All well balanced and presented to us in an artistic way. We were surprised by the fact that this place doesn’t currently hold a Michelin star. Compared to other restaurants with Michelin stars we’ve dined before, Warlord definitely deserves at least one. We highly recommend them for fine dining and special occasions!

“The first time I went here, I was overall unimpressed as it wasn't like it was bad, but it also wasn't amazing.”
The first time I went here, I was overall unimpressed as it wasn't like it was bad, but it also wasn't amazing. I've since gone back twice to get the burger and each time I love the burger more and more (along with their dirty martinis). In a world of smash burgers, it's refreshing and nice to have a thick burger that lets the meat do the talking. The aioli and grilled onions along with the bun just work together perfectly. Easily top 5 burger in the city. The rum cake and the oysters weren't too bad either but every time I go here I'd struggle to not get the burger and a dirty martini every single time as it's that good.

“Went on a 1h 20min power walk from Jefferson Park and ended up at Warlord for a spontaneous dinner.”
Went on a 1h 20min power walk from Jefferson Park and ended up at Warlord for a spontaneous dinner. Sat right in front of the live fire grill, which felt like sitting in a medieval tavern but with loud rock music and contemporary fare. A bizarre combination, but it works really well. I was last here in 2023, and I’m glad they are now Michelin-listed. I had the Raw Bigeye Tuna and Melted Eggplant, paired with a sparkling German Sekt and a Vinho Verde from Portugal.

“Warlord's is a must when you are craving a good burger in the city.”
Warlord's is a must when you are craving a good burger in the city. I would say this is definitely top 5 in Chicago! Worth the money. We were seated at the chefs table where we got to watch the magic happen. The technique they use to grill their burgers is very unique and you can taste it from your first bite! Great experience! Dry aged burger patty was cooked to perfection! Flavors are rich and deep till the last bite so juicy, you completely forget that there's no cheese on the burger it's phenomenal...Very unique set up inside with a medieval feel. Dark, but very intimate. Staff and service was nothing less than great! I would recommend going 30 minutes before they open on a Monday, to give you better chances of seating they do not take reservations. 100% recommended!!

“A nice burger and they have $4 old styles so it’s a win in my book.”
A nice burger and they have $4 old styles so it’s a win in my book. Burger was good, had charred onions and aioli, they make all their sauces in house. Only complaint is they don’t have ketchup, could be an easy fix, they also didn’t have French fries but served the burger with okra instead and the okra was bad. Fries and ketchup would go a long way here, but fantastic burger.

“Warlord is hands down one of the most exciting spots in Chicago right now.”
Warlord is hands down one of the most exciting spots in Chicago right now. The atmosphere is dark, moody, and loud in the best way—dim lighting, open fire, and vinyl spinning in the background. The open kitchen and live-fire grill are front and center, and the layout makes you feel like you’re part of the action. Whether you’re seated at the bar or tucked into one of the booths, the whole space gives off a cool, edgy vibe. The menu changes constantly, which keeps every visit fresh and unpredictable. They do everything from seafood to dry-aged cuts and seasonal vegetables, all cooked over an open flame. But the one thing that never leaves the menu—and for good reason—is the signature dry-aged burger. It’s easily one of the best in the city. No cheese, no frills—just rich, funky, perfectly cooked beef with charred onions and a killer onion mayo. It’s that good. Service is knowledgeable and laid-back, and while there’s usually a wait (they don’t take reservations), it’s worth it. Warlord isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience. Come hungry, bring friends, and don’t skip the burger.

“Maitake Mushroom is packed with flavors and textures that defy what I know mushroom to be.”
Maitake Mushroom is packed with flavors and textures that defy what I know mushroom to be. Drinks were delicious. My fiancé whole enjoys more spirit forward cocktails thought the drinks had a good balance we were both able to enjoy. He had the Snapper and I had the Steak, but to me to start of the night was by far the Maitake Mushroom. I’ve never tasted anything like it and will absolutely order it again and again. We took photos but because we went late night the ambiance was candle lit and the pictures do not do any justice. Highly Recommend.

“This burger is my craving every Monday evening!”
This burger is my craving every Monday evening!! Service is always great, ambiance is candle lit dinner with old school hip hop playing in the background… perfection! Menu changes all the time but the burger is a staple so if something other than the burger catches your eye, go for it & then come back for the burger.

“Incredible dinner.”
Incredible dinner. Felt very well taken care of. Our server was very friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations on how much to order. The food was excellent, particularly the lacquered fatty duck. The drinks were great as well. We will be back.

“The xo sauce on the tuna belly was delicious and the tuna belly melted in your mouth but I would opt for other dishes.”
The xo sauce on the tuna belly was delicious and the tuna belly melted in your mouth but I would opt for other dishes. The fries could use some work, unsatisfying. The dry aged burger on the other hand was great and worth it. The ribeye streak was excellent. One of the best steaks I’ve had in a while and I cannot recommend it enough. But the cardamom cake was exceptional! If it’s still on the menu give it a try. I can’t stop thinking about that cake, tender and it had wonderfully balanced spice. Service was great. Really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
