Don't let the small esthetics fool you.. All I can say is WOW.. The food was perfection! The tacos tasted like if I was in Mexico. I wanted to take the chef home. If you are looking for authentic flavors, this is it! The staff is very kind.

We live in the neighborhood, and this was a great hole in the wall find. Small on the inside, but friendly and quick service. My boyfriend had the birrias tacos and I had the steak tacos, both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered some horchata to drink, which was also tasty. We will definitely be back, so glad we found this spot! :)

Visiting my sister that lives in the area. Was craving birria and I saw this place offered it and that they have great reviews. It’s a bit of a local “dive” but what they lack in ambiance they make up for in food quality and service. My quesa birria was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, good quality meat, and their consume was on point. This is my first time trying it but I will try more things and update my review. So far it’s a hit!!

“This is my new favorite taco spot in Irving Park.”

This is my new favorite taco spot in Irving Park. The service is friendly and the menu is expansive. It has this wonderful home cooked feel to everything. Go on a Tuesday to get 2 dollar chicken, ground beef or al pastor tacos. The flavor in all three are unique and the meat is so tender. Very rarely does a place have such charm, high value in food and absolute deliciousness.

A + customer service! This is the perfect place to grab a bite. It’s like they keep a grandma in the kitchen lol. I was here for a quick lunch date. We both ordered the Barria tacos, chips and Guac. The Guac was fresh fresh! Best I’ve ever had. There was so much flavor in the tacos. If you like bland food keep scrolling. The menu was quite diverse, so many great authentic selections to choose from. There are featured daily specials if you are looking for a deal. This is hands down some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Chicago. The decor was colorful and modern. The space isn’t huge, but def worth the visit. You won’t be disappointed

One of the BEST Mexican places with BYOB I've had in years! My Wife and I were looking for a place that had birria and we got WAYYYYY more than we anticipated. The meat is so flavorful and tender not to mention flavors that transport us back to when we were on our honeymoon in Mexico. Wow....literally at a loss for words. Well done and thank you!!!

They have the best Quesa-birria tacos. The cook makes home-made churros that are also delicious! This will be my spot from now on. No longer have to drive to Pilsen for good tacos!!!

Walked into Cascabel Taco Joint for dinner. We started with the Guacamole and chips. Really good! For our main we got the Carne Asada Tampiquena and the Enchiladas. We both enjoyed our dishes and the fact that it is BYOB!

“A solid selection.”

A solid selection! Happy I could try em' out on a nice cool afternoon. They have a large selection of the standard delicious choices. I tried some steak nachos and took them to-go. The nachos were great. They could have used a little more steak but came with a good amount of yummy avocado. Will have to swing by to try some amazing sounding breakfast!
