“I stopped by Urbanbelly and somehow ended up questioning every hotdog decision I’ve ever made before this moment. Let’s start there—because that hotdog? Unreal. The kind of hotdog that makes you pause mid-bite and rethink your entire understanding of what a hotdog is supposed to be. It wasn’t just good, it was “where has this been all my life?” good. I’m pretty sure it ruined all future gas station hotdogs for me forever. And then the dumplings showed up… and just completely stole whatever spotlight was left. These things were next level. Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and the kind of dish where you immediately start planning how to order more without looking excessive. (Spoiler: I did not succeed in looking reasonable.) The whole place has this laid-back, cool vibe, but the food is operating on a completely different level. It’s like Urbanbelly casually decided to dominate both the hotdog and dumpling game at the same time just to show it could. If you’re in Chicago, this spot is dangerous—in the sense that you’ll leave full, happy, and already plotting your return trip.”

“We were walking to Big Star but we turned around because the smell coming out of urban belly stopped us in our tracks. It was our first time trying and we will be going back again and again. The edamame was great! The dumplings were so tasteful and filling. Our ramen was delicious and filled with everything you needed!”

“Quickly added into the rotation. Simple food was delicious, rich flavors.”

“The coconut curry pho is heaven on a cold winter’s day. Soo good.”

“This place is really cool! The menu is small, and to the point - I like it. I had the Demon Beef Ramen and the broth was great, loved the addition of fried-crispy ramen on top.”

“I had the coconut curry pho. It was a delicious noodle soup that hit the spot! With a 20% tip, it was about $23. It was definitely pricey but I saw a sign that they provide free meals to children on Mondays. Reading the reviews, I know people were definitely using this offering. If some of my payment went to feeding a child in my community, I was happy to spend it. Thank you UrbanBelly for taking care of the families in Wicker Park.”

“"I found this spot about 5 years ago since it’s right under Damen station. It’s super cozy and welcoming. The menu is easy to read, and the staff is always really friendly — they’ll even give you great recommendations. The only downside is that they now only take card payments. They play good music, and I really love their tables and seating. Cheers from Tijuana 🌵”

“Excellent service, great food! Very attentive to my gluten and dairy allergy! Had the coconut curry pho absolutely amazing! My family throughly enjoyed this place!”

“I had an amazing spicy chicken katzu ramen. It was sweet flavor full and spicy. The service is always good. You pay and order at the entrance or scan the QR code at your seat. The rest room is easy to find.”

“Super great flavors in all the dishes here! Quick and easy to order, just sit down and scan the QR or order at the front. We loved the Korean Chicken, Udon noodles and chicken dumpling ramen.”

“this place is amazing and cheap! we got the lemongrass and pork dumplings, chicken katsu rice, and lemongrass noodles. it’s the perfect amount to share with others. very tasteful, and the passionfruit cocktail was delicious!”
