“Everyone needs to come here!!! I’ve never had vegan food like this, there was such great variety too, I was thoroughly impressed. We tried a whole bunch of things but the tacos stand out to me. The food took a little minute to come up but the staff were super hospitable. It’s slightly pricey but I’m sure the quality makes up for it.”

“Fried Chikn’ Sandwich This sandwich was absolutely amazing. The golden-crispy oyster mushroom had an incredible texture and flavor that was remarkably similar to real fried chicken. Topped with fresh cabbage slaw and lettuce on a perfectly toasted bun, every bite was delicious. The truffle-parmesan fries were the perfect side and can be tossed in BBQ or Hot Jungle sauce for an extra kick. Even as a mushroom-based sandwich, the taste and overall experience rivaled a traditional fried chicken sandwich. Highly recommended!”

“IT WAS WONDERFUL TO SEE CHEF BRI'S EXPANSION EVOLVE! I REALLY WANTED TO TRY THE MAC & OXTAILS AND IT WAS DELICIOUS 😋 A 10/10 & THE ENVIRONMENT IS ALSO SUCH A VIBE!”

“I keep seeing pictures and reviews of The Green Ape and I finally had a chance to try it out this week. I ordered the soul plate with vegan oxtail. The restaurant is bright, airy, and is very welcoming. I ordered at the kiosk and not more than 10 minutes later, I had my food. The soul food platter comes with candies yams, greens, max and cheese, and the protein of your choice. The oxtail is more expensive than the other options. Everything was well-seasoned. I love that they put the greens in a deli container so you have plenty of pot liquor and it doesn't make anything soggy. I loved that i felt full, but not heavy after finishing. I can't wait to go back to try more menu items. The peach cobbler shake sounds amazing.”

“This was so inexplicably tasty and we felt so amazing after our meal! It exceeded my expectations and I’ve been craving it ever since... And I’m not even vegan.”

“This place is literally amazing! Vegans have gotta come out and show our support for amazing new restaurants like this! If you’re used to a lot ultra processed ingredients when you get the vegan options than this will be a much better experience than what you may be used to! The first time I went I had the oxtail Mac and cheese and they appeared to be made of lions mane mushrooms for the oxtail! I was rather impressed because I anticipated it would just be beyond meat or something like that! The next time I tried the fish in their soul bowl and again i figured it would be some impossible or beyond product but it appears she also makes this from scratch and made form the heart of palm. Both times I was really impressed and felt nostalgic for the food because as a vegan I stopped eating at black owned walk in counter restaurants that would have an amazing food, but we’re all meat based! Anyway this reminded me a lot of those place but finally a vegan place nearby! Thanks Bri, I appreciate your restaurant and hope you get many MORE regular customers!”
