Rudy's Ramen — the Ramen leads at this top-tier Noble Square ramen spot. Cocktails here aren't an afterthought. The welcome here is real, and good for vegetarians.

“First off, that broth is the real deal: thick, rich, and so flavorful it's perfect for a cole winter day—you'll want to drink every last drop”
Ordered take out. The place charges $20 for a ramen and they have the audacity to provide it without a broth.

“Loved the ramen here - but I think I’d prefer the spicy tonkotsu over the spicy miso.”
Loved the ramen here - but I think I’d prefer the spicy tonkotsu over the spicy miso. The broth is excellent, the noodles are great. I preferred the thin noodles over the thick noodles, but I realize I could have subbed that myself. I wish there was more numbing spice actually in the spicy miso. I’ll have to come back and try the other bowls!

“Top 3 ramen spots in the city.”
Top 3 ramen spots in the city! The broth is amazing. I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen and was surprised that is was actually spicy haha; other ramen spots in the city put “spicy” on their menu and it’s not actually spicy. The noodles were a good texture and the pork tonkotsu was a good thickness. Will definitely go back!

“If you're hunting for the best bowl of noodles in the Chicago, you need to try Rudy's Ramen.”
If you're hunting for the best bowl of noodles in the Chicago, you need to try Rudy's Ramen. This place absolutely nails the essentials. First off, that broth is the real deal: thick, rich, and so flavorful it's perfect for a cole winter day—you'll want to drink every last drop. They also perfectly execute the ramen egg, which has a molten, jammy yolk that just pops in your mouth. And the noodles themselves? Perfectly springy every time, never soggy. Be careful of the spicy Tantanmen though! I asked them to it half spice and I don't think they did. It was so hot!

“This was an insane amazing crazy good ramen place.”
This was an insane amazing crazy good ramen place. Honestly I thought it would be overhyped from the number of reviews Ive heard online but this did not disappoint. My friend and I had the Spicy Miso and Spicy Tonkotsu ramen bowl. The broth was so rich, I felt like the wealthiest person alive. The karaage chicken was super super good for starters. Would highly recommend this restaurant to ramen lovers (and others).

“Rudy’s Ramen I visited Rudy’s Ramen as a suggestion from a friend that we dine here, and I have to...”
Rudy’s Ramen I visited Rudy’s Ramen as a suggestion from a friend that we dine here, and I have to be honest, this place did not disappoint. Rudy’s Ramen keeps ramen simple. No overly extravagant ramen - just the basics done right. This is a strength for this place because as someone who loves ramen, I’ve seen a lot of places do way too much. That said, keeping it simple pays off because the ramen is delicious. I had Tonkotsu, and it was everything I wanted. The broth was creamy, but not overly salty - something I hate with some ramen. I also had a Coca-Cola, which, by the way, is served by the can - no refills. The only recommendation I have is to lower the music just a bit. It was a bit hard to hear while also being near the kitchen. Finally, I would strongly recommend a reservation. There was a wait the evening I dined here. While it was a Friday evening, the wait for two was estimated to be around 30-45 mins from what I heard. Tip: they accept Apple Pay.

“Wholeheartedly casting my vote of 5 stars.”
Wholeheartedly casting my vote of 5 stars. I tried the Tsukemen and the spicy Tantanmen, and both were outstanding. My partner and I left saying it was some of the most flavorful ramen we’ve had in Chicago, not because of the usual overload of toppings you see elsewhere, but because they execute simplicity perfectly. The Tsukemen noodles were wonderfully chewy, and they didn’t skimp on noodles. The pork belly in the broth added a perfectly salty, rich depth that coated each noodle with every dip. It’s such a treat to have a nearby high-quality ramen spot we can visit on a whim and still get seated without all the hype or long waits.

Ramen here is like meeting the love of your life at a crosswalk, only for them to get hit by a car: thrilling and unforgettable but extremely short lived. I had the tonkatsu ramen and loved it. I had the bowl dry within minutes. The karaage was good as well. I hear the vegetarian options are good but I can't confirm.

“Probably one of the best Ramen bowls I’ve had as a vegetarian.”
Probably one of the best Ramen bowls I’ve had as a vegetarian. I got the mushroom miso Vegetarian ramen (made it spicy) with crispy tofu on top and also got the crispy tofu bun which was super flavorful. Everything was so well made, the flavors were incredible and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect. Will definitely be back soon!

“Everything about our experience was delightful.”
Everything about our experience was delightful! The Tatanmen taken was truly the highlight of the meal. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the broth was so flavorful with the perfect heat. They’re so generous with the toppings as well, especially the protein, because I found the ratio of every bite to have the right amount of both protein and noodles. We also got the habanero chicken bao and soy caramel pork belly bao. The dough was soft, and the small bites packed big flavor. Don’t forget to try a cocktail too because it was the nicest pairing with the savory meal. You can really tell that Rudy’s Ramen makes and serves their food with care. The staff was also friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu items. The restaurant is a great ambiance for any kind of meet up, and I’m already looking forward to our next visit!
