“Wanted a local watering hole and Stocks & Blondes fit what we were looking for. Wasn't crowded around 5pm, had some locals and friendly bar tender, let us sample a couple beers to decide. Few more locals arrived and during conversation found out they had lived in Jacksonville where we are from so we got insight to the local area.”

“This is a great beer place. So many choices across the gamut of styles. Nice wood bar and a decent seating area. We had German beer, a NEIPA, IPA and a lager. A snack of nachos was small but inexpensive.”

“Best beer selection of the trip. Good specials too. It was a respectful environment with plenty of TVs and people talking throughout the place.”

“Matt is a great bartender, personable and attentive. Had chix tenders and they were the best I've had in a long time! Great portion, very meaty and crunchy! Some great daily specials too. Don't miss my fave dive in the city just under the el tracks!”

“Our film crew stopped in for dinner, we really enjoyed the burgers and happy hour specials! 🍔🍻”

“Well, isn’t this cute and cozy. I’m Early for Lyric Opera and took train. On a Sunday, wasn’t sure if Anything would be Open. At the base of the stairs Washington/Wells train, BOOM! There it was. Open 7 days. Old wood, TONS of draft beers, Warm. Just like a local bar. I love this vintage feel.”

“Great little place to grab a bite while you're waiting to meet up with folks, or for your train.”

“Got two orders of cheese curds and this is what came out, I asked the waitress what was up and she said “I told you to order two””

“They advertise a Chicago Handshake for $10 (already high) with a photo of an Old Style tall boy and a normal shot. Instead you get a 12oz. bottle and a half shot of Malort. Especially ridiculous when a 16oz draft and a normal shot are $5 each.”
