I was relieved to see the line was indoors so no need to wait out in the cold. The line was well worth the wait as it went by pretty quickly and the communal seating meant there was not much of a wait for a seat. The hot beef sandwich was amazing and comforting. The cheese fries were also delicious! Just a quick tip:bring cash for a faster process and a bit of savings, although they do take card and have an atm if you don’t have cash available.

I had the greatest experience during my visit to Mr Beef. Christopher went above and beyond with his welcoming attitude and superior service. His genuine banter made me feel like I was stopping for a bite at a family members home. We had the beef wet, beef hot and fries. By far the best beef I have had! It was a nice size sammich for the price. Such a great experience that I needed a shirt. I will definitely be back.

Even though it’s usually crowded, the wait is not long because the service is quick. The fries are amazing, and the cannoli is so delicious! We stop by every time we’re in Chicago.

The food is outstanding, the team behind the counter were friendly and the place is exactly what you’d hope it would be. We loved sitting at the long table with everyone else eating lunch. You will not be disappointed and this will now define what you know as a beef sandwich.

What a ridiculous place! Had the Italian beef sandwiches with rings. The hype for this place is deserved! Absolutely unbelievable good food, staff was great and the fine dining hall is well worth the sit down in! Can't wait for the next visit to Chicago, many more sandwiches shall be eaten!!!

I came here with a friend because of the show The Bear. The inside has photographs of many, many famous people who have visited this establishment. As far as cleanliness goes, I would say it is passable. We did eat in the restaurant at a large communal table in the back room. The ordering line moves very quickly and there is a sign warning you to know what you are going to order. When you get to the front, it says cash only but that is apparently for the prices on the menu. Several people ahead of us used credit cards but the price was a little higher. The service was very fast and there is a definite Chicago vibe. The spicy Italian beef sandwich was good but I would not say exceptional. The onion rings were also good, but not exceptional. With the low prices and the atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit!
