Nine Garden 玖记小馆 — low-key food in Chinatown that runs on repeat customers. Expect noise, energy, and a full house. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. "And the calamari? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had—light, tender, and perfectly seasoned" — Marcelino Pangan

“Oh and as we were walking out I noticed their dessert cooler and opted for this Oreo, banana, caramel drizzle and whip creme magnificent delicious last minute treat”
It's like a mix of Chinese cuisine, Shanghai, Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong.
Ordered through Uber. $22 for shrimp broccoli and it only came with 5 pieces of shrimp. The whole dish was broccoli.
Not good at all. Everything tastes bland. Literally every single item. Interior decor is not enough to save this place.

“Great new addition to Chinatown food scene.”
Great new addition to Chinatown food scene. Had a couple meals and really enjoyed just about every dish. Crab Lions head soup is one I would order every time. Nice pig ear appetizer with a bit of smokiness to the taste. Dong Po Pork belly delicious. A menu worth exploring. Look

“new addition to the plaza on archer.”
new addition to the plaza on archer. staff was very friendly. we ordered mocktails that took longer than some of the food to make. however, the food was delicious and drinks were super tasty. they offer many options where everyone can find a dish to try. relatively good price for the portion size. definitely recommend to try

“If you're looking for a hidden gem in Chinatown, Chicago, Nine Garden is it.”
If you're looking for a hidden gem in Chinatown, Chicago, Nine Garden is it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, with a beautiful decor that blends modern design with simple touches. Now, onto the food: absolutely phenomenal! Their menu offers a wide range of dishes, but the Shanghai Smoked Fish and Crab Lion’s Head were standout favorites for us. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and you can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Don’t skip the Mango Rolling Crepes —a dessert masterpiece that’s as pretty as it is delicious. Service was top-notch too. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and even recommended a few dishes, such as Shanghai Kao Fu, Chopped Chili Fish, and Dong Po Pork Belly, that turned out to be highlights of the meal. Nine Garden is perfect for a casual lunch or a special dinner. The pricing is fair for the portion sizes and the incredible quality. I'm already planning my next visit!😊
