“The flavors and spices are authentic and amazing (I've eaten at about 30 Indian restaurants over the years)”
We’ve ordered from here a few times and love the food but tonight, although delicious, both my and my husband’s plate had short/medium black hairs in it after scooping from the containers onto our plates.
visited this restaurant with family. Taste of dishes were mediocre and naan didn’t taste freshly baked.

“Wow, this is one of my favorite Indian food restaurants ever.”
Wow, this is one of my favorite Indian food restaurants ever. The place was a bit empty but the food was amazing. Lots of seating and quick service. Their chicken and lamb options are amazing. I was surprised at how complete their menu was. I think this is a great restaurant for the NorthBrook area. I hope they flourish .

“Delicious lunch yesterday 5/22/25 w/ a lovely group of Indian friends who have been to this restaurant before.”
Delicious lunch yesterday 5/22/25 w/ a lovely group of Indian friends who have been to this restaurant before. They enjoy the food here which is why they chose it for lunch. It was my first time visiting and I ordered the saag paneer lunch special. My friends ordered several dishes and we shared everything between the 4 of us. Chili paneer (the paneer was crispy and so so good), fish tikka (salmon was tender and flavorful), tandoori mixed grill (shrimp and meats tender, not overcooked, wonderful flavors), and shrimp biryani (shrimp was cooked to perfection). Saag paneer lunch special came w/ naan, basmati rice, lentils. I absolutely crave good Indian food and I was SO very satisfied w/ everything we ordered. It was a fun lunch w/ friends and we sat in a booth. They have a large dining room w/ a lot of tables. It was quiet yesterday but we went for a late lunch around 1:30 pm. They close at 2:30 and re-open at 4:30 I think. I definitely plan to visit again and will bring the hubs. It's a 45 min drive for us, but it is worth it. =)

“Never been someone to gravitate towards Indian food (not in a bad way just wasn’t in my rotation)...”
Never been someone to gravitate towards Indian food (not in a bad way just wasn’t in my rotation) but oh my goodness is it going to be now. We had the best dinner here - started with Samosa chat, my dad got the salmon and I got something with eggplant that was to die for (blanking on names my bad) The staff was so friendly too shoutout to them. 5000% run don’t walk to Moksha and get some of the best food you’ll ever have!! Awkward photo but I did take a pic during dinner to send to the fam to tell them we will all be coming back so might as well attach for the algorithm. Anyways, thank me later. 11/10

“Came here for the first time the other day and my mom and I will definitely be back.”
Came here for the first time the other day and my mom and I will definitely be back! The food was all wonderful and the server was knowledgeable (which is helpful because the menu is quite large!). We got the masala soda which is flavored with lime and spices for a very unique refreshing taste. For an appetizer we got the samosa chat. Main event we did butter chicken and the curry chicken. Basmati rice and saffron rice (we definitely could have shared one order of rice, it’s quite large!) and the garlic naan. Definitely come hungry because the portions are a generous size and make for wonderful leftovers! Can’t wait to go back and try other things!

We were warmly welcomed and promptly served. The food was tasty, and the serving sizes plentiful. We recommend this Northbrook Indian restaurant, and we're looking forward to warmer weather when we can sit outside while we eat.

“I had an excellent dining experience at Moksha Indian Grill.”
I had an excellent dining experience at Moksha Indian Grill. The Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, along with a few other items, were absolutely perfect. It’s refreshing to finally have an authentic Indian restaurant in Northbrook. As someone who has traveled the world, I know how rare it is to find a restaurant that truly represents its culture, especially in the U.S., where the palate can often be untrained for such rich flavors. The service was great, and I highly recommend Moksha to anyone looking to experience authentic Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely continue to include them in my dining rotation.

“I tried Chicken 65 & Methi Malai Mutter and also Chilli Chicken Curry.”
I tried Chicken 65 & Methi Malai Mutter and also Chilli Chicken Curry. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, The spice level is on the milder side, which makes it perfect for people who prefer mild to medium spice.Don’t expect fiery heat, but the taste is balanced. The ambience was also really nice and welcoming. Great spot for a relaxed meal.

“First time here and I got my order to go.”
First time here and I got my order to go. The samosas were very good and tasty. The chicken biryani was delicious and had a good amount of chicken and was a little spicy. So may have to ask for mild next time.I also ordered a garlic naan which was freshly made. The order came with some raita and sauces for the samosas.
