The sandwich came perfectly cut in half and wrapped in foil in two separate containers which makes them great for taking to-go and reminded me very much of similar sandos in Japan

I was in the mood for a Japanese style sando but of course all of the spots I would rely on to remedy the situation were closed on Mondays. So I did a search and Mazza appeared to save the day. They are a purely pickup and delivery restaurant that operates out of the Picnic digital food court. Funny enough I was having trouble deciding whether to go with an egg salad or tonkatsu sandwich and was thrilled when I noted that Mazza’s Katsu Pork includes egg salad in it. I ordered through Uber Eats because Grubhub only allowed delivery for some reason at 12pm and was quoted a pickup time of 10-25 minutes. When I got to the “food court“ a little before 10 mins after ordering I was able to park easily and I punched in my name on the pickup kiosk and a locker opened with my order bagged up and ready to go. There is no seating at Picnic but I was in a rush anyway so I just enjoyed my meal in the car. The sandwich came perfectly cut in half and wrapped in foil in two separate containers which makes them great for taking to-go and reminded me very much of similar sandos in Japan. They even include the plastic film sheet for keeping the insides from making a mess if you’re a reckless traveler. When I went to remove the film I noticed that the pork cutlet itself was hot to the touch so I knew it was fresh. The sando tasted great. It could have used a little more egg salad in my opinion but I still enjoyed all of its components from the tender fried pork cutlet to the slaw and sauce thoroughly. Can’t wait to tell all my friends about this spot and maybe give Picnic’s other restaurants a try too.

The texture isn't quite what I want from milk bread. Instead of soft and fluffy it was a bit dry/hard, maybe since the crust was left on. There was also too much bread in the sando which I think muted the spicy tuna filling, while the filling itself was fairly bland and not spicy My order was missing a spam sando which seemed to be replaced by a spam musubi. I assume this was just a mistake and the musubi was decent, probably better than the sando version would've been for 1/3 the price Overall the food was disappointing and the value isn't great so I likely won't return
