I love matcha, so I had high hopes, but this towel matcha cake was straight-up bad.
I was first attracted to Matcha En because I saw they had many different Ube desserts, but of course I got matcha as well.
Very cute little shop. The ice cream ube and tiramisu crepe were good.

This boba and dessert store is a must-visit place at China town for matcha lovers. Their matcha has a top quality with a light taste of sweetness. All matcha beverages are awesome. Their matcha desserts are also delicious but the price is a little high. The room is lovely with several seats, but it can be quite packed during dessert hours. Service is great and WiFi is available.

This is my second time coming to Chicago, and I have to come back to this delicious place every time! The ice cream is amazing, the flavors are rich, and the whole vibe of the shop just makes the experience even better. Definitely a must‑visit spot when you’re in the city!

Massive menu, definitely something for everyone! The tapioca pearls were so soft with a great texture. I ordered the ice Vietnamese coffee with ube cold foam and boba. Their dango 🍡 is also great! Wish there was more seating, but I highly recommend! Overall: 8.8/10

We only tried two items, and they were very good, but they have so many other tasty looking items I would love to come back and try. I had the matcha madness and my partner had the matcha hot chocolate. I loved the flavors in the matcha madness, but it was a bit messy. I feel like I'd rather order just a matcha or just the ice cream, because of how filling it was. It's not a huge inside seating area, but I think it works for shorter visits.

Actually quite a fan of these desserts - feel like I’ve been looking for matcha-themed desserts in Chicago for a while, and this perfectly hit the spot! The taiyaki was good, matcha flavor was solid - only reservation is that it’s quite expensive ($9.5 before tax and tip). However, I do think that the quality is very good, so I would come back when I am in Chinatown again.

A must have for all matcha lovers!!! It’s so pure and delicious matcha. Mildly sweet and bitter. Their parfait is the best! Super popular and it’s hard to get a seat. But their service is quick and they also validate parking if you spend more than 25 dollars.

The crème brûlée toping is another level of divine. Genuinely sooooooo bustastic. Only tweak I’d ask for is more boba. Regardless drink was soooooo divine. Would totally rec for Chicago Chinatown.

Visited Ctown last weekend with my girlfriend. We got the Ube Viet Latte and Mango Matcha w/ boba and for dessert we had a taiyaki with matcha ice cream. The ube viet latte had a very thick consistency and I’m not sure if I had liked it or not lol, however the ube flavoring is really on point. The mango matcha was pretty much perfect. Our favorite was the taiyaki matcha ice cream, would’ve been a nice touch if there’s some red bean in it otherwise 10/10
