I went to the restaurant close to closing and they were still very kind and welcoming. The food was amazing, the mocktails were delicious. They have various to choose from and was not disappointed. My server named Samantha was very attentive and helpful with amazing recommendations. The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful outdoor seating. Will definitely be returning!

I had the pleasure of dining here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a fantastic experience. I booked a reservation, and upon arrival, the host immediately wished us a happy anniversary and sat us. Our server was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and attentive. He made sure to make our anniversary special and memorable. We decided to dine early, as they offer a happy hour, with oysters for ~$2 a piece. I got a dozen oysters, and wow were they good and meaty, with no shell fragments at all. Probably some of the best oysters I’ve had in Chicago. My wife got the French Onion Soup, which was probably the best I’ve ever tried. We then got the escargot. I loved this dish - it was bursting with flavor. Very umami, a little salty, slightly sweet, with a hint of spice. The drinks were alright - my wife had a mocktail that was decent, and my Old Fashioned was passable. Drinks don’t seem like the highlight here; next time I may get wine instead. For entrees, I got the Salmon Wellington, and my wife got the Lobster Pasta. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfectly with a good amount of lobster and a nice spice to it. The Wellington was delicious, with a good sized portion. To top it all off, we had the Meringue Cloud, which was quite literally a cloud; sweet burst of air with a nice lemon twist to it. It was great. Overall, Le Petit Marcel is a nice addition to the Lakeview East neighborhood. It is a perfect date night spot to dress up without having to go out to the West Loop or River North.

What a pleasant, authentic experience! It genuinely felt like we were transported to a true Parisian cafe without leaving Chicago. We absolutely loved the Seasonal Salad, which had a fantastic balance of fresh ingredients and a delicate dressing. The Chicken Paillard was also a standout – tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back, and can't wait to try more from their menu!

My girl friend and I had an amazing girls night at this restaurant thanks to our server Angel who took care of us and the lovely hostess Veronica! ✨ The food was spectacular, the ambiance was lovely and the service was impeccable!! We discovered this place through TikTok and it did not disappoint!! We were seated at the Piano lounge and the guy playing the piano was just the cherry on top! We will definitely come back again! Highly recommend this place! ☺️❤️

First time coming here and it was an amazing experience. Kind of on the smaller side, like a very dim lit intimate date night spot with very small tables for 2 to eat on. I can see it being very packed on weekends with it hard to hear your companion, but the food is divine. For appetizers, we had the escargot which was made quite differently to how we normally get it at other places! Where most bring 6 escargots on a plate, here it was presented differently, like a cute little pie with the escargots baked within, it was so delicious and that sauce oh la la! Also had the mussels which were amazing. Without a doubt though, the star of the show was the salmon Wellington. We’ve only ever had beef Wellington before so to see that on the menu, we had to try it! Exquisite! Absolutely delicious melt in your mouth with the sauce they laid it in so good, I would have licked the plate if I was home! Our host was the perfect host, so sweet and friendly! The ambiance subtle and beautiful with lovely music playing. We were celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and the host suprised us with a dessert with a candle which was so sweet! Really made us feel special and wanted! Most restaurants are clearly just about your money, but this place really had a homely vibe with all the staff so warm and welcoming! Will def be back!

What a great night and an excellent addition to the neighborhood! If you haven't been, go. This place is amazing from the minute you walk into the bar section. You're transformed to France, a separate dining section, everyone dressed to the T, live music. And don't get me started on the cocktails and food. It was absolutely fantastic and delicious! Open kitchen concept so you can watch the masters create magic!
