came for 2026 restaurant week lunch and did not disappoint ! super limited seating, definitely recommend a reservation. ordered the kimchi pancake, chicken nanban, and green tea ice cream and everything was delicious. (also pictured: cold noodles, tofu bimbambop, and topioca pudding)

Wow I'll definitely be back! My partner got a couple beers, while I got a plum soda - both were awesome! We also shared japanese flan and an egg salad sando, and both were wonderful! The atmosphere is super chill and the staff is very friendly. I'm SO glad this place is in the neighborhood!

took me a while to venture out here after it opened (been going to Konbini & Kanpai on Belmont for years and love it so much) — but so glad i finally made it in! lovely owners, nice space, the bar is really pretty, and most importantly the food and drinks were great. Chicago has had a huge gap in non-sushi Japanese food and glad to see this add to the mix. the sando, katsu, and appetizers were excellent and the sake and cocktail companions were great! and don’t sleep on the Japanese flan — as a pretty serious connoisseur of flans, this was a winner! looking forward to the next stop in.

Love Konbini and Kampai Wrigley!! Delicious food! Great hospitality! Yummy Asian inspired cocktails and beer. My husband had the yuzu lager and I had some sake from Hiroshima. It was delicious.

Delicious food, refreshing drinks and friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. The chicken and the pork on the sandwiches were each tender, juicy and flavorful! Portions are perfect and prices are reasonable. They even have a nice patio for warmer weather!

Teriyaki chicken was very nicely seasoned and cooked while sitting on a bed of shredded vegetables dowsed in sauce. Not dry at all and very juicy, as well as the katsu sandwich and the handmade chips!
