If you are looking for delicious food go to Jerk Sou’lay located at 8216 S Kedzie in Chicago. Their food is authentic, outstanding, and full of flavor. The customer service is amazing. The atmosphere is family friendly, and the prices are on point! They have full menu, but I love the CABBAGE and DARK JERK CHICKEN meal. On a good day I have been able to sample their specialties like peach cobbler eggs rolls and non-acholic drinks. The jerk chicken was delicious! The Mac and cheese was a really nice surprise as well. Order the cornbread too! Highly recommend it. Will head over with the family soon!

“I have to give a huge SHOUTOUT!”

I have to give a huge SHOUTOUT!! To this place. The whole thing is a vibe. The food is great, chicken tender, ox tails fall off the bone with a plastic fork. I’m not a catfish eater but, that jerk cat! Ohhhhhhh wheeeee! The greens and cabbage was on point with the right amount of flavor. The rice and beans weren’t dry and had a lot of flavor. Then to finish it off I had that (hood flavor) red kool-aid 😂😂😂 if you know what that means. Then the sweet treat was a wonderful moist vanilla pound cake that you must get. I’ll be back for sure.

Yesterday was my first time visiting this establishment. I seen this restaurant on ABC7 news during Black History Month, I had to add it to my list. The owner came out and greeted us, and even gave us a sample of the chicken, I appreciated that!!! My choice of entree was the Jerk Shrimp dinner, which comes with rice and peas, and your choice of two sides. I went with the green beans, and Mac & cheese. Everything was 🔥🔥🔥, will definitely be back sooner than later.

Best place in Chicago to get jerk!! I travel about 25 minutes to come to Jerk Soule, past several other jerk spots, and it never disappoints. The portion sizes are healthy! Literally I cannot finish it all in one setting. This time around I got 2 half jerk dark dinners with mac and cabbage, 6 piece jerk wings with yams and cabbage, strawberry pound cake and peach cobbler. I’m in a food coma now lol. It’s so tasty and fresh and the service is always friendly and timely! First pic is of a full serving, 2nd pic is halfway done going in the fridge for later! The food here is delicious.

“Yall this place was absolutely delicious!”

Yall this place was absolutely delicious!! Those oxtails were soo tender ! They were practically falling off the bone! I also enjoyed the jerk salmon the sauce definitely took it to another level. That cabbage and Mac and cheese was bussing! I also really enjoyed the Italian ice and peach cobbler egg rolls for dessert. This place did not disappoint 10/10 recommend. They even have the authentic Jamaican sodas.

I ordered a shrimp po boy and received a chicken one instead. At the moment Iam detoxing so that was a downer. I did try to call back and got no answer it was right before closing so I just decided to eat it anyway, I was very hungry ! The chicken po boy was very delicious the meat was grilled to perfection and still moist ! The sandwhich was flavorful ! The peach cobbler was delicious as well I got so excited while eating it I forgot to take a picture of it 10/10 fully recommend! BTW currently this neighborhood doesn't have a good jerk restaurant so this location is a perfect addition to the neighborhood 👌🏾 The environment was also clean and customer service was on point ! I did come back as requested by the owners Judith and Cedric and they gave me a meal on the house peach cobbler and drink included as well as my shrimp po boy Everything was perfect 10/10 THEY DID IT AGAIN ! Highly recommend this place the customers service is through the gate !

“Customers are top priority here.”

Customers are top priority here. Food prepped by southern hands and its flavor will have you as a returner. There are a couple of things that could make you gassy. I'm I'm not a pork consumer, so I have no opinion on that. Jerk chicken, yams, spaghetti, and greens are all exceptional. The cheese on the nachos made me gassy, so I won't eat them again, my worst complaint.

The food is so authentic and delicious - jerk chicken so tender and jerk sauce just right, rice and beans with good amount of gravy (not dry at all unlike many places), greens, cabbage, and yams were on point too! The owner Cedric and staff are so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely come here and and recommend to family and friends.
