This was my first time ever eating African food, and I was absolutely blown away! The Yassa Lamb was outstanding, and so were the rice and plantains. But what I can't get over is how good the service was. I told my waitress it was my first time, and she took the time to explain the entire menu to me and what she recommended. She was so excited to explain it all to me; it was genuinely the best experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I cannot wait to come back with family & friends!!!

Went to this place because I wanted to try some Nigerian eats but it looks like it has so many different choices like a good variety of African eats which is better. We ended up ordering some fataya, Yassa Lamb, Dibi Lamb Senegal both with Djolof Rice and then we also had a side of plantains. Food was so busss and the serving was HUGE. Definitely try the lamb if you go here. Food was seasoned well. I definitely would come back in the future. VIBES WERE IMMACULATE. They played great RNB songs for me and my king 😍😍😍 whoever was on the aux that day was bangin! Anyways, 10/10. TRUST

Visiting from SC. The food was amazing, my first time trying West African food such as this. The fufu was as delicious and sweet and meshed amazingly with the sauce graine. The sauce graine was cooked to perfection with shrimp and beef! Would definitely recommend!

“The snapper was fantastic.”

The snapper was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The cabbage and plantains were delicious too, and the hot sauce added an amazing kick. Everything was so good—I ate every bite and left nothing behind!

My first time there and the young lady is already frowned up mad looking 🤦try smiling you will scare a person from there I asked her a question but I can tell she didn't want to be bothered so I asked anyway 🤣🤷 what's the difference between what I ordered and the stew on the menu she had attitude 🤦sis it's gone be ok but the food was salty and 2 many onions cut up on top of it should be optional because I didn't like that but yet again my first and last time there and no disrespect 💯to you all but my opinion

“Went for dinner for a birthday celebration.”

Went for dinner for a birthday celebration. Food did not take long to arrive. Yassa is Senegalese but they serve authentic West African food including Ivory Coast Sauce Graine dish. Although the menu did not state which items were spicy, the spice was not unbearable, especially paired with the Baobab drink (it has dairy). We met the owner who was very welcoming and warm. “Absolutely delicious food!!”

Absolutely delicious food!!! I ordered 2 jollof rice, 1 fried plantain made a bit more crispy than regular, and some hot sauce, and got exactly what I ordered and the taste met the high bar of my most fervent culinary hopes. Even though I’m vegetarian (and the restaurant later confirmed the jollof is vegetarian, bless their hearts), I could savor and honor the Senegal culture with every bite of the food I had. I also ordered baobab drink and it was so culturally and tastefully perfect, I had to add a Bissap. Marvelous stuff indeed

I had a desire for Peanut butter stew and this placed filled it well! I’m far via delivery but the food was still hot when it arrived over an hr later. I didn’t even stop to take a picture before I dug in. Shared with my housemate. We will both be ordering in the future. Maffe - tasty with a heat that grows but it never hot. Djolof rice side - solidly stands alone but you wanna add the hot sauce to it. Next level pairing. Fufu - sweet and cools the stew perfectly. I should have gotten more. Always get extra. Plantain - perfect 👌🏿 Sorrol & Honeydew Pineapple -both are a great choice. Hot sauce - so flavorful. It blooms on your taste buds beautifully. Don’t skip.

“Restaurant is amazing.”

Restaurant is amazing. We go here all of the time & their food is so so so good. I love the “House Chebujin“. Recently tried the lamb, tilapia & snapper & all were smackin. Thanks to the waitress that encouraged to try something different 😉
