“Insomnia Cookies in Chicago is an absolute gem for anyone with a sweet tooth, and it’s hard not to...”
Insomnia Cookies in Chicago is an absolute gem for anyone with a sweet tooth, and it’s hard not to rave about the experience from the moment you step inside. The variety alone is enough to keep you coming back—classic favorites like chocolate chip and snickerdoodle sit alongside more adventurous options such as triple chocolate, peanut butter, and deluxe stuffed cookies. No matter your craving, there’s something for everyone, whether you want a nostalgic favorite or something a little more indulgent. What truly sets Insomnia apart, though, is how perfectly warm their cookies are. Each bite feels like it just came out of the oven, with gooey centers and crispy edges that melt in your mouth. Pairing one of these warm cookies with their fresh, creamy ice cream creates a match made in dessert heaven. The ice cream is smooth, flavorful, and balances the sweetness of the cookies beautifully—whether you’re enjoying it in a cup, sandwiched between cookies, or as a decadent topping. Another standout feature is their hours of operation. Insomnia Cookies is open very late, making it the perfect spot for night owls, students finishing up late study sessions, or anyone craving something sweet after a night out in Chicago. There’s something uniquely satisfying about indulging in a warm cookie at midnight or later, knowing that you don’t have to settle for a vending machine snack. The combination of variety, freshness, and convenience makes Insomnia Cookies more than just a dessert stop—it’s an experience. Whether you’re grabbing a dozen cookies to share with friends or just sneaking in for a late-night treat, you’ll walk away satisfied. Chicago has plenty of great dessert spots, but Insomnia shines as the go-to for late-night indulgence, warm comfort, and sweet variety.

“Warm cookies and they are open late.”
Warm cookies and they are open late! What more could you ask for? The workers were nice. No place to sit so just get your cookies and enjoy them somewhere else.

“Stopped by fairly late and was pleasantly surprised to see no line.”
Stopped by fairly late and was pleasantly surprised to see no line. The employee was kind and apologetic about being out of a couple types of cookies, which wasn’t a huge deal. The cookies were good too, not as good as crumbl but still alright. My problem was with the security guard. He kept staring at his phone not actually looking watching anyone, and when he finally looked up and saw there were a few more parties whom had joined the line he got up and demanded we all stand against the wall (yes, even my friend who was on crutches and had to block the entire entry way as we were waiting for the last member of our group to order his cookies). Security guard promptly went back to his phone.

“Never write reviews, however, this is the second time this has happened.”
Never write reviews, however, this is the second time this has happened. These cookies are hard as a brick and it took an hour to be delivered. Go put your money elsewhere - this is not it and will not ordering again.

“Cookies were cold, hard, and boxed up broken.”
Cookies were cold, hard, and boxed up broken. Frankly, unacceptable for these prices. First time ordering insomnia cookies in this city, after being a customer for years where we used to live. One of my favorite places, very disappointed
