“Super amazing veggie spot!! Large menu of vegetarian with more than half the menu can be made vegan! Great pub vibes with high quality veggie food! We stopped in on a Monday early afternoon & was pleasantly surprised to get brunch offerings! The vegan English muffin breakfast sandwich was BOMB. Fresh, hot & flavorful! The house-made vegan bacon was the stand out for sure! Super thick & had a nice Smokey flavor for vegan bacon. It also came loaded with vegan cheese, crispy hash brown, tofu & a hollandaise vegan styled sauce.They don’t skimp on the portions either- this sandwich was massive. The entire experience was great. Place was chill vibes. Lots of vegan stickers / vibes all around. Staff was friendly. Lots of vegan choices that felt high quality & just made your tummy smile afterwards. Glad we stopped in for brunch at Handlebar!”

“I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. On this visit, we ordered the Sloppy Joe sandwich with coleslaw on the side and mashed potatoes, chili cheese fries topped with pico de gallo and fried avocado, fried pickles, and a pizza puff. Everything was delicious! The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was welcoming, and our food arrived promptly. If you prefer dining outdoors, there’s also a pleasant patio in the back.”
“We got there, and the place was so busy. We got lucky and got seats at the bar. The bartender was quick and friendly. Food took a minute but that was expected with how busy it was. The place is not large. I would go back again when visiting Chicago, even though I’m not vegan! it was that good!”

“Wow the Black Bean Maduro is soooo good. This dish has a beautiful blend of flavors and textures that made every bite delectable. The chipotle sauce has a great flavor and creates some spicy heat. The grilled plantains are creamy and sweet. Black beans, brown rice and vegan cheese layered on top add great texture. I will be back for this! The pizza puff and vegan mac and cheese were also very good. The outdoor seating was really nice.”
