Portillo’s is always a required stop while I am in the city. This specific location is my go-to.
We were visiting Chicago and wanted to try this famous Chicago hot dog. This was the best hot dog we've ever tasted.
Our crew was so glad Portillo’s served us at such a late hour.
2 pm and the drive through was fast. My order was done ahead of four other cars and they walked it to me.

Every time I buy something, there’s always something missing. I do not understand.
Worst Portillo experience ever. Waited an hour only to get cold food and a warm melted milkshake.

Me and my co-workers decided to order from Portillo on Taylor. We were so frantic to eat this meal, but unfortunately it was utterly disgusting. Needs were cold an taste old, look at the cake it’s literally swimming. Yuck never again.

Value for money. I paid $17 for an italian beef sandwich with cheese sauce and dipped in gravy which is how I like it and it did not disappoint at all. And the cake shake was as thick as I had expected it.

Magnificent! The dining room was fantastic with decorations to take you back to simpler times. The jazz music sets the mood. The employees were kind and cheerful which always makes a dining experience all the better. We had the Italian beef sandwich combos and added the cheese for the Fries. We shared a Portillo’s beef hotdog and could barely finish our lunches. We will be back on our next visit to Chicago.

Italian beef dip and hotdog were both better than expected. Cake shake too sweet not for me. But for those with a big sweet tooth it's right for them. Service was prompt and workers are working hard. Tables very clean.

This place is my go-to for a real Chicago-style hot dog when it comes to a chained restaurant! The food is always fresh and consistent. Besides the hot dogs, their cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, and fries are all top-notch. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

At Portillo‘s early in the morning, it opens at 6:30. The hashbrowns is twice the amount that you get at Wendy’s for breakfast. I got the sausage and eggs. It is a messy sandwich to pick up. The sandwich is about 3 inches maybe and the sausage takes up most of the bread so the eggs are precariously put on top of the sausage. My sausage had a nice snap to it and a nice little char That I myself particularly like. The coffee is doing its job as a caffeine deliverer. With no additional add-ons good for under nine dollars that’s including tax. The only improvement I could think of I would love to have an Italian beef breakfast sandwich in their breakfast meal combos. Even though yes you could probably order it this early just to have but I want it to be a breakfast combo meal.

Highly recommend this location 🌭🍟super spacious, calm, and clean. The hotdogs are a must, even for vegans (they’ve got options) Only downside: no ketchup in any of the dispensers

A Chicago favorite that was recommended. I wasn't a fan of the Chicago style hot dogs or Italian beef however the food was not bad. I prefer my hot dogs with less toppings. The crinkle cut fries were really good. The bread on the Italian beef was a little soggy, but the sandwich was decent overall.
