“Posto stupendo trovato per caso. Personale gentilissimo e buon cibo.”

“This was my first Portillo’s, and it felt like the perfect introduction to a Chicago institution. The restaurant was busy, but everything moved quickly, and after my first Chicago-style hot dog I immediately understood why Portillo’s has such a devoted following. One of the things that stood out to me most was that the restaurant had its own personality. It didn’t feel like a generic chain. The decorations, theme, and atmosphere made it enjoyable to look around while waiting for my food. I was also surprised to learn that the famous chocolate cakes are baked fresh every day. After my first visit, I understood why Portillo’s is often recommended to visitors. It was a great introduction to one of Chicago’s most recognizable restaurants.”

“Visited from Toronto Canada for MLK wknd and have heard great things about Portillo's and their sausages and hot dogs. I ordered the Polish sausage and it was the best sausage I have ever had in my life. Had that with fries and a drink. Had the for lunch and didn't have to eat dinner. I was good until next day and that's how good and filling the polish sausage was. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Chicago”

“interior is good. parking lot is good and big. hotdog is good. onion ring isn't good.”

“Best fast food in the city, not specific to this location. Portillos' is the gold standard of fast food and I'm a miser. Their golden fries are a worthy addition to any hoard. Get the big beef with hot pepper and extra gravy”

“Portillos never changes its consistency. Excellent food but a bit pricey. Plenty of seating on both levels. It has an elevator to get to the bathrooms. Ample of free parking!”

“Portillos was definitely an experience! The food was a little messy but it all tasted delicious. I ordered the chili dog, onion rings, and a chocolate cake shake. The only issues we had was the AC was broken and it was very warm inside!”

“All good, contract security came to each table informing guests to be aware of "rifraff" who might pickpocket. Bit unnerving. In my opinion the security guard should be looking out for that not me....”

“Restaurant with really old school deco! Ordered the plant-based hot dog and was nicely done. Added on a sauce for the fries but the staff missed out.”

“la decoración del lugar es fantástica, el servicio es bueno, si no quieres realizar tu pedido de forma tradicional ante un empleado y haciendo fila, hay unas maquinas donde puedes realizar tu pedido y pagar con tu tarjeta, la comida es rica 😉 y el pastel de chocolate es recomendable...”

“Food always as advertised, in this location however, you will often encounter homeless people using the bathroom as a place to clean up, change clothes and get over a hangover. Pic attached”

“Not bad, but the infamous beef foot long was a little disappointing. The gravy for the sandwich was not tasty at all. The fries, though they looked plain, were great for some reason. The vibe was pretty cool and the staff was relatively good. Given the opportunity I'd try them again just to see if it was just bad timing for me.”
