Damn! That Lechón Sandwich hit the spot! Absolutely flavorful, the sandwich is pressed to crispy perfection, the lechón is well seasoned and juicy. The add of acidity from the pickled onion and creaminess of the door drip sauce beautifully ties the sandwich together. Not to mention the yucca fries are crispy and have a fluffy center. One final thing that parcha pina drink they have is so fruity and refreshing perfect for a hot summer day! Will be returning to try some rellenos de papa!

At first we were hesitant about what the menu offered but we went anyways and OMG it did not disappoint!!! It’s just want we needed a little taste of home 🇵🇷 The owner was super humble and nice and was very helpful to all our needs. Food was 20/10 and very authentic flavor. That Lechón was to die for 🤤

The food was hittingggg 10/10 . The jibarito sliders and the steak sandwich were so good. It has 5 stars for a reason. And the staff and service were very attentive.

David the owner is a great chef. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and kind. The jibarito sliders both lechon and beef were so good! The garlic oil on top of the deep fried plantains was so full of flavor and the plantains were flattened nice and thin and were crispy. The lechon was moist, tender, juicy, a nice amount for a slider. The beef was good quality and not fatty. They were both seasoned well and every bite was really good. The 2 sliders (in pic) were $15 ish and comes with rice and salad. Sweet plantains/maduros $4.99 were very sweet and nicely deep fried. This place is inside the Washington Hall food court right across the street from Block 37 where there’s more food and the AMC as well as rock climbing and private residences. Try David’s jibarito sliders bc we are definitely coming back.

This place is in a small food court. The lady who helped us (the recipe said Hailey) was amazing and the food was delicious! They have many options and are even vegetarian friendly. I got the stew chicken bowl. My mother got the Berry Dope Lemonade. I took a sip and even that was great!

I was excited when I found the place but I end up disappointed, pork was good, rice was horrible it was a combination of over cooked and undercooked. Empanada was good but can’t say the same thing of the dough. I’m Puerto Rican and I’ve never seen something similar.

Small portions for the expensive price, chicken empanda had no flavor, lechon is salty, and steak had chewy chucks. The staff is amazing but I was disappointed on the price I paid and the barely edible food. Sadly I picked because I am puerto rican but wish I picked ANYTHING else next to it. There is way better Puerto Rican food in Chicago, do not judge our food by this location.

Visiting from NY as a Puerto Rican so we had to check out Paseo Boricua. We wanted to try a cafe a few doors down for a sweet treat but they were closed for the day so we headed into this place just to get dessert for takeout. We ordered the Piña Colada cake and cafe con leche. Both were delicious and the workers were super friendly and helpful. Even while setting up for a party they took time to speak to us and make us feel welcome. If we were staying in Chicago longer we would definitely try more items but it’ll have to wait til our next trip. Definitely give this place your business, these people deserve it!
