Half a chicken, a side, and pita for less than $7. Can't beat it downtown in the Loop. Flavorful chicken is what they do best and they do it fast and friendly in a small place; don't plan on eating there, you're better off getting it to go and eating elsewhere with limited seating.

Pictures speak a thousand words….ate a half chicken and sides. From a value perspective where are there $11 half chicken meals in the Chicago core but don’t be fooled as these guys do a great job. Picked up a half chicken meal at 4pm and the chicken was still crispy on outside and sides were tasty. This is one of my favourite joints in Chicago. Final plus, great service with great guys behind the counter.

Ordered the quarter-chicken meal with dark meat chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. Overall it is good but it's very similar to Pollo Tropical, which I love and am faithful to. I do recommend Chicken Planet as it's located to various businesses in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly, and I received my to-go meal quickly.

Ordered the dark meat chicken thighs with mashed potatoes. The chicken was good, and the mashed potatoes came out hot! It was also really affordable and pretty filling. My only complaint is that they use a styrofoam box. Since the chicken came hot straight out of the grill, it burned holes into the Styrofoam which cant be safe for consumption. Please change the container!!!

Sells chicken and only chicken, so they do it pretty damn well. The half and quarter chickens are great but the chicken roll can be slightly dry.

I was excited to try this place after seeing recommendations on Reddit for a lunch spot visited by mostly locals. However I was a bit disappointed. I paid like $14 for a quarter chicken meal and a Diet Coke can and the portions were very small and left me hungry. I probably should have ordered a half chicken meal for a few dollars more but I still expected more from the prices I paid. Sorry for the crappy quality photo. Food was good but nothing worth writing home about

REAL LIFE CHICKEN Been coming here for lunch in the loop almost exclusively for the past 2 years. Would/have recommended it to anyone I can. Is it the best lunch I’ve ever had? NO. Is it consistently fast, fresh, budget-friendly, and satisfying? YES. I always order the chicken roll and if they offer you homemade BBQ sauce say yes! All employees are welcoming/proficient at their role. Be sure to ask Cashier Abeed for a punch card, to stack points on your return next week. Just don’t come here if you’re scared of real life.

I stopped by Chicken Planet for lunch this was my second day in a row, and it never disappoints! I had the grilled half chicken, and it was amazing fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. If you guys like grilled chicken, this is definitely the place to go! Their pita bread is also really good and goes perfectly with the meal. The staff are super friendly and respectful, and the customer service is always great. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Stopped in for a late lunch about 30 minutes before they closed. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and the man making my order very generously included mashed potatoes and rice for me to try since it was my first time in. The food was amazing, and every time I go in from here on out I will be ordering those mashed potatoes. The sandwich was delicious, served on soft pita and with substantial portions of meat. Fabulous!
