90th Meridian Kitchen & Bar — clean, consistent bar & grill in Loop. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. Naomi Dela Cruz: "The sliders were juicy as hell, and those fries? Crispy and fancy, fam" [$$]

🌱Vegan & vegetarian friendly — real options, not one sad pasta.

Imagine your favorite airport restaurant. Now imagine it actually has good food and service. That pretty much sums up the look and feel of 90th Meridian. I was a little hesitant when this place opened up across the street from my office. The building it moved into, the Central Standard Building (formerly the Continental Illinois Bank Building), had been pretty barren for a while. After an apparent change in ownership, the building was seeing a revitalization of businesses, such as the wildly-popular Naf-Naf that opened across the hall. I came here one day for lunch just to see what it's about. I was happy to see the full bar and ample seating. Our server was extremely friendly and happily recommended some of their local beers. Unfortunately, they don't list what the frequently-rotating beers are on the menu, so you have to ask every time. As for the food, it's delicious! I got the cheeseburger the first time I came, and the chicken wings the second. The fries that come with the burger are extremely addicting, reminding me of the Crack Fries at Hopcat. The wings were tasty, but a pretty small portion. My only complaint here is that the food is pretty pricey, even for the Loop. Surprisingly, the payment portion here is fun. If you are splitting a check among the table, you can do it all yourself on a handheld device the waiter gives you. This allows you to split payment by certain items and pay right there on the device. I recommend this place for the food mostly, but they also have some good daily specials (such as half priced bottles of wine). If you are in the area, give it a try!

Not a lot of vegan options, and the portion size is really small. I ordered a cup of soup(vegetarian not vegan) and the ancient grain salad, which was good, but the portion size was very very small. The ambience is good, and the taste is okay, but it can do better with the food quantity for sure.

Most outrageously priced burger I’ve ever had the misfortune to have ordered. 25 dollars before tax and tip for a a burger no bigger than a McDonald’s cheeseburger. An absolute rip off and wont ever return after coming here for years.

A hidden gem and completely under-rated. Steak frites is wonderful. So, too, is the pasta Bolognese. For dessert? Homer's ice cream. A north shore staple. Perfect atmosphere for lunch solo or when meeting others.

The food and drinks are very delicious. The entire staff is wonderful. There’s never a wait, even without reservations. Awesome happy hour prices and vibes. Located inside the Wintrust building.

Ok wait, this place is actually the best. I came in in the afternoon and was impressed with how warmly I was greeted. The steak salad was dynamite, a great recommendation from my server. The space is cute, and I had no problem pulling out my laptop and getting some work done. Definitely I’ll be back!

I hit up 90th Meridian Kitchen & Bar last weekend and it was straight fire! This spot’s got that dope vibe in a cool old building right in the Loop, and the food’s got some serious global flavor—ordered the jerk chicken sliders and truffle fries, ran me about $25 with a craft beer. The sliders were juicy as hell, and those fries? Crispy and fancy, fam. Bar’s legit too, had a solid IPA that hit just right. Service was chill, not rushed, and the whole place feels like a classy hangout without being stuck-up. Definitely sliding back soon—Chicago’s got a gem here!

90th Meridian Kitchen & Bar is a hidden gem in the Loop—perfect for a laid-back but classy meal. I stopped in for lunch and got the truffle burger ($18) with a side of garlic fries ($5), plus an Old Fashioned ($12). The burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and that truffle aioli just hit different. The fries were crispy and had just the right amount of garlic kick. The vibe is stylish but not pretentious, and the service was on point—super friendly and quick. Spent around $35 before tip, and it was worth every penny. Definitely coming back for happy hour!

Almaz and the rest of the staff was amazing. I had a passion fruit margarita and she made it perfect not too sweet and the same every time.

Our first time to Chicago. We were touring the Rookery building. After the tour we were hungry. We started walking towards the Federal Reserve building. Just as we crossed the alley there was this wonderful smell of steak. So we went in and found the restaurant. We shared the Steak and Potatoes with the au poivre sauce. Incredible! The wait staff were very attentive. The chef's passion came through the food. The waitress expressed this passion when explaining the au poivre sauce. Fair price. To finish off the meal we had coffee and cookies. My wife had the Fruity Pebbles cookie. She said it was like Wilma Flintstone had baked it herself. I would come visit you every week if I lived in Chicago. Thank you!
