“Have I finally tried the world’s best coffee? Yes, yes I have. Dark Matter delivers that. I’ve tried coffee shops all around the world- and Dark Matter has made it to the top of the list hands down. Quick trip to Chicago & Dark Matter came up as one of the best coffee shops to hit up. So glad I came! The entire place oozes soul. From the amazing art, vibes, artwork on the products they sell (coffee bean bags & cold brew cans to go) - it’s just seriously SO perfect. The iced latte was so flavorful & one of the best I’ve ever had. So punchy. So strong. So delicious. I had to grab a few bags of their roasted beans & cold brew cans to go to enjoy Dark Matter back at home. Everyone needs to support Dark Matter. Seriously, amazing coffee. Not sure HOW they do it- but it’s just SO good. The best vibes. And such unique art that just makes visiting it to see it worth it alone.”
“Barista and staff helpful and insightful. The drinks and atmosphere were unique and amazing. I bought a bag of Chronica and Fuego, both are great. The mayan mocha and wake n bake are amazing drinks and not something you'll have often. The shop and the drinks were some of my favorites in the country”

“It has a ton of seating, so it's a perfect place to study, work, or just catch up! Coffee is good as well and they have some unique options. I have not try to pastries yet.”

“not bad, but quite a big let down from how much praise I hear about Dark Matter. I always order a plain flate white when trying a new coffee shop to get a good taste of their espresso, and this was the weakest flat white I've ever had in my life. I could taste that their espresso definitely has a unique flavor to it, but it was overwhelmingly just milk, like I was drinking a cup of hot milk with a splash of espresso (I'm being hyperbolic, but I just need to get the point across that I've never had a flat white with such a pitifully weak coffee taste). I know this place is known for cool flavors, but I'm scared to try the regular lattes if this is how milky their flat whites already taste. stay tuned I guess to see if I try maybe a different location and a different drink, but idk this kinda put me off. (incredible vibes and friendly staff tho, 10/10 for them :)”
