The Lanzaga — one of Lakeview's strongest american spots. Order the empanadas. Attentive team that knows the menu and knows you. Family-run, BYOB. Christine Calhoun: "The coffee rubbed chicken so so tender and juicy, and the stuffed pepper was so delicious"

“2nd experience here and just as good as the first.”
2nd experience here and just as good as the first. This business puts pride and quality into every aspect (food, staff, marketing, and decor). In addition to supporting local art and music The South African spices put this restaurant ahead of a few others in boystown. Thank you 🌻

“I’m a regular, the breakfast is bomb (Plata Paisa, B’s and G’s, French Toast) all super good and portions are large.”
I’m a regular, the breakfast is bomb (Plata Paisa, B’s and G’s, French Toast) all super good and portions are large. The two owners are super friendly and the coffee is some of the best in the city due to it being “Air Roasted” = less bitter. The vibes are great as well, with a lil hangout corner, multiple tables, and outdoor seating in the warm months. 9.5/10 if the scale went up that high.

I walked in, and, was immediately greeted with a kind smile despite being disheveled and messy. Delicious sumatra, air roasted coffee that warmed me up and crab cake Benedict with Yuka potatoes - owner recommendation. I cannot wait to come back for additional eats and treats. Kudos to the chef and everyone at Lazanga. I was even given a chair to sit outside for a mid meal smoke break. Thank you 🌻

“The food and coffee were fantastic.”
The food and coffee were fantastic! My mom, sister, and I arrived 3pm so ordered from the lunch menu. I’d highly recommend the empanadas and shrimp ceviche! The coffee was wonderful too. I ordered a peppermint latte! The owner, Cesar, was very friendly. We’ll definitely be returning soon, I’d like to try the dinner menu. He said it’s BYOB.

This is easily the best south American restaurant I have been to in the area! The pequeño were amazing and the breakfast was perfectly cooked and done just right. The meat was tender and it wasn't over seasoned. On top of that, it is the best coffee I have had in the area!

One of the best food place in Boystown, decided to go back for lunch. Tried Plato Paiso and the Maracucho (which was my favorite). Nice staff and very helpful in finding food of our choice.

“The Lanzaga in Lakeview is an absolute gem for South American cuisine.”
The Lanzaga in Lakeview is an absolute gem for South American cuisine. I dropped about $45 on dinner and it was worth every penny. Started with the Venezuelan empanadas—crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. For the main course, I had the Moqueca, a Brazilian fish stew loaded with shrimp, walleye, and mussels in a rich, coconut-infused broth . The flavors were authentic and comforting. The staff was warm and attentive, making the dining experience even better. If you're looking for a spot that offers genuine South American dishes in a cozy setting, The Lanzaga is a must-visit.

Came here for dinner a few weeks ago and the food was amazing so of course I had to return for breakfast, once again it was a hit with the food and A+ customer service. The place alone is such a cute cozy spot for either a date night, family dinner or just a day out for brunch with the girls. Definitely recommend Plus perks BYOB.
