“Such an underrated spot! The fufu, egusi and jollof rice are truly amazing!!”

“I catered Comfort African Cuisine for my office lunch of 75 people, and it was an incredible experience! The owner is so sweet, welcoming, and truly puts love into everything she makes. The Jollof rice was smoky, flavorful, and a huge hit. The beef was tender and delicious, the vegetable stew was a perfect vegetarian option, and the puff puff tasted like a delicious cloud, light, fluffy, and absolutely amazing! Everyone loved the food, and I couldn’t have been happier with the quality and care that went into the catering. Highly recommend Comfort African Cuisine for authentic West African flavors and a wonderful experience!”

“This was my first time trying a Nigerian food and I really enjoyed, I'm now regretting and blaming my self for not trying this long time ago, but anyways here we go. The food was really good and the service awesome. Elizabeth helped me to choose the a dish as this was my first time here. She was really helpful and very kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone trying out a Nigerian food for the first time. Peace out✌️”

“service and food was really good! especially the owner who knew it was my first time, was a big help! i’ll be back!!”

“10/10 would recommend!! We had a table of 5 and were seated immediately! The service and servers were great! They were kind and accommodating to our needs. They showed us how to eat our meals the traditional way! Everything was delicious and filling. We can’t wait to go again!”

“I visited this restaurant and ordered Jollof rice with meat and plantains. I also ordered Suya. The Jollof rice was very good. I liked that it was perfectly seasoned and the meat was soft and flavorful. The highlight for me was the Suya. It tasted very authentic and reminded me of home. I tasted it and my taste buds travelled home 😅😅. I also saw that they had puff puff and meat pies. I would definitely try them next time. Overall, 10/10 for me. I would highly recommend if you are looking for authenticity.”

“Delicious. Amazing portions. Smells and taste like home! We will definitely come back!had egusi soup with fufu and a meat pie!”

“I ordered through Uber Eats and one hour later, the food arrived hot. The plate of Jollof rice with beef and fish was delicious. The beef was soft and flavorful, better than other African restaurants I’ve tried in Chicago. I’m not a huge fan of the moi moi and plantain. The plantain was not fresh, it seemed microwaved but, I’ll definitely order the Jollof again.”

“This is the most disgusting place I have ever gotten food from. The food was in the fridge, who knows how many days old. I saw silver pans of food in a fridge, look like it was cooked elsewhere. I ordered beef and jollof rice. The beef was one big hard bone!! An inedible piece of mystery meat. It looked like a piece of meat they used to put in a stew to “flavor” the dish. I could not take one bite. Please do not buy from here they need to be shut down !!! $18 for bush meat and spicy unflavored rice! Disgusting!!!”
“This place was HEAVEN!!! My friend, grandfather, and I were coming from out of state and we had seen this place online and wanted to try. We walk in and she, the waiter, lets us choose whatever table we’d like. They had the window open, so we decided to sit at that table. It was so wonderful to feel the outside breeze and people talking and laughing while we were sitting there. The waiter comes back and gives us a run down of the menu in its entirety. She gave us a run down of the appetizers, the entrees, and how to order the entrees. My whole table ended up ordering something different so we could try each other’s. She was very kind and friendly taking our order, and very funny! Some other people had come into the restaurant the same time we did, so our food took just a little bit longer to come out. Not by very long at all. First, my grandfather gets his jollof rice with his 2 choices of meat, beef and chicken. He admits immediately that its spicy, but he also has a low tolerance. The next time she comes out she has my friend’s efo riro, fufu, and a bowl of water. She asks us if we’ve ever had fufu and soup before and we say no. She tells us to wait before we eat, and she comes back with my egusi and fufu. She gives us a step by step on what we should do. I had seen a few tiktoks on how people eat it, but she was very helpful for people who have never done it before. I asked her if I really shouldn’t chew, and she it’s preference and to do whatever I please. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that mentality!! This was PHENOMENAL!!! The egusi tasted so beautiful! For those who haven’t tried it, do not be afraid of it! It just tastes like tomato sauce seasoned with different spices. I had it with goat meat, and it was a 50/50 if the bite would be tender or hard. I personally love having to pick the meat off of the bone, though. The efo riro was the same sort of tomato vibe, but with spinach and spicy peppers. Also super delicious!!! Her chicken and beef was much easier to eat, so she said. After I had licked my plate clean, I told the waiter that the food was absolutely phenomenal. She said she was happy, and right before we left she told us to hold on. SHE GAVE US PUFF PUFFS FOR FREE!!! These puff puffs were fried, chewy, spongy dough that tasted lightly like honey and were a very filling dessert. After having to run out in the storm, these were a nice snack to enjoy in the car. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is trying nigerian food for the first time.”
“Very delicious and their jollof is some of the best I’ve ever had!”
“If you're looking for authentic Nigerian food...look no further. I order here especially when I don't want to cook at home and it's food cooked away from home. Delicious and tasty homemade style dishes. The customer service is ALWAYS top notch. Highly recommended. I wish I could give 10 🌟!!!!”
