“Service was amazing! Lovely lady at the register she helped a lot with helping me pick a dish since I don’t consume meat.. food was very flavorful and perfect portions. Will definitely visit again!”

“We had a great experience at Penny’s Oak Park. I ordered their version of pho with beef, and it was really good. For my daughter, I got the fried rice and egg noodles from the kids menu, and those were okay. What really stood out was the service. Our waitress was super friendly, attentive, and especially good with my daughter, which made the experience even better. The location is convenient, the space was clean, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming. I’d definitely come back.”

“Penny's Oak Park although mostly known for noodles, boasts a variety of Asian inspired cuisine. Sushi burritos, Ramen and Stir fried dishes for the menu. Family ordered Ramen bowls, Crazy Noodles with Beef and Vietnamese fresh Vegetable rolls. All were very tasty. They offer a few domestic and imported beers and had a Singha from Thailand which pairs great with spicy food. Penny's Oak Park is family owned and costs a bit more but makes up in quality, tasty ingredients and fast friendly service”

“I ordered the Pad See Ew and Tom Yum soup, and it was honestly the worst Thai food I’ve had in this area. The Pad See Ew was overly sweet and completely lacked of the smoky aroma and oyster sauce flavor that defines the dish. The broccoli was undercooked, tough, and very difficult to chew. It felt like the kitchen was too rushed to care. As for the Tom Yum, the broth was thin and bland, with no aroma of herbs or any hint of sourness. The mushrooms also seemed undercooked. Very disappointing experience.”

“this place is trash all around. gentrified Asian food. Flavorless. Sidenote: spice does not mean flavor. spring rolls were also a poor effort. I had to add all my own seasonings and it was still very very bad. LOOKS good but that doesn’t equate to taste”
“Amazing fried rice! I love that you can customize it as well! Got my food to go but the inside looked very clean.”
“The service is excellent, only overshadowed by the quality of the food itself. This is a local favorite!”
“The best Thai cuisine in Chicago. I wish there was more locations near me South side preferably.”
“I'm so happy Penny's has been a consistant source of comforting food in OP.”
“I met the owner he was very personable and professional. I got my food delivered and I might add it was just as good as if I was Dining in. I got pineapple fried rice cooked with ingredients just like I like it and it was delicious. I also got Tom Kha soup and crab Rangoon’s they were good as well. Thanks again for having great service Mr. Penny”
