“i love coming here for lunch. the special is So Much Food and the sweet and sour chicken really hits the spot. it feels like a dish from my childhood”

“Great staff, calm vibe, nice seats, quiet music, warm temperature, good food.”

“I visited after reading online that this is one of the oldest restaurants in Chicago. I found the food decent; for the price I'd say it was even quite good. I had the general tso and kung pao chicken and liked that they were not as cloying as some other Chinese American restaurants make these dishes. I'd definitely get takeout if I lived nearby, and the idea of people enjoying the same ok Chinese American food nearly one hundred years ago makes me feel like a part of the city's history.”

“Orange garden has long been one of my most favorite places for their burrito size egg rolls which are very delicious with that vintage Chicago style peanut butter/ five spice flavor that you can only get in here. All the other dishes I've had are slightly above average, not amazing . I honestly could eat two or three orders of egg rolls and call it a night! It's an old school Americanized Cantonese restaurant, with Chinese zodiac paper placemats in that vintage 1970s Chinese red & gold deco. The service is very attentive and friendly.”
“Delicious food, great retro vibe, extremely friendly staff!”
“Consistently great, fresh food! Come here as a go to Chinese place, highly recommend. Their wonton soup is great, everything is in large portions. Highly recommend!”
“Portions are huge so be careful when ordering. I like that they don't over season their food. There were 7 of us and we ordered 6 dishes. 2nof them were barely touched. I would rate the food 8/10. Service was excellent. BYOB.”
“Food is 10/10. They gave us complimentary crab rangoons ☺️”
“this place slaps. full stop. i never leave reviews but both the service and food were so excellent that i had to. first time here- i’ve never been so full in my life and taken home so much food for such a good price. i’d def come back and also order takeout from here”
